6. What an ePortfolio could be?
“… a strategy or tool that displays a selection of evidence in relation to the
competencies that a person or an organization has developed over a period.
Depending on the purpose of the ePortfolio and the intended audience, the
selection and presentation of evidence can consider elements of reflection
and the use of different media and formats facilitating their understanding,
visualization and evaluation” (Guàrdia, 2014)
Can be used by different agents to reach a great variety
of purposes

7. ePortfolios & eAssessment
ePortfolios are being used to extend evaluation of online learning
as a methodology. Specially, as a strategy for monitoring the
learning process
Assessment is more student-centered. Students can manage and
reflect about their own educative journey.
Help teachers to observe and follow up the students work and
processes over time.
Tool for accrediting skills and competencies (previous learning)
Potential for connecting the classroom with the social and
professional contexts… a new dimension of the evaluation!

11. A need…..
Despite the great potential of ePortfolios as an
eAssessment tool its use is still very sparse…
How we can
promote its use?
EPNET is developing a variety of open educational
resources to help teachers &institutions to implement
and improve their practices with eP.
