Less Contact System
The new 70-9159 plug and socket
contact system offers a significant
cost savings as compared to a full
connector solution without
jeopardizing performance and
reliability. By designing connector
functionality directly into the individual
contacts, insulator and assembly
costs can be avoided. Critical to the
mated system performance is the
selection of the base contact material
and in this case gold plating for
maximum signal integrity even in

DC/DC Converter from Boosts
Light Load Efficiency
Designed to help meet energy
efficiency standards under light load
and standby conditions, the AP65200
synchronous DC-DC buck converter
achieves efficiency as high as 96% for
a light load of 200mA and maintains
efficiency above 70% down to 20mA.
Its high level of integration and
minimal external component count
suits distributed power architectures in
consumer electronics products,
including TVs, monitors and set-top
boxes.
Offering an input voltage range from
4.75V to 18V, the AP65200 provides a
single device solution for both 5V and
12V bus systems, and delivers up to
2A continuous output current with a 3A
peak. Using a simple external resistor
divider, the converter output voltage
can be set from as low as 0.925V up
to a maximum of 16V.

for LED track lighting with
LYTSwitch LED-driver reference
design
DER-353 describes a 9.5 W, isolated
flyback, TRIAC-dimmable, power
factor corrected (>0.96) LED driver for
LED track lighting. DER-353 drives a
nominal LED string voltage of 21 V at
530 mA from an input voltage range of
90 VAC to 132 VAC.
DER-353 utilizes the LYT4314E from
the LYTSwitch™ family of ICs.
LYTSwitch conversion ICs are
designed to provide excellent
dimming performance; shimmer-free
operation and widest possible dim-
range as well as fast turn on-even
when deeply dimmed. Pop-on and
dead travel are also eliminated.
