Dukane ultra short throw projectors 2013
1. Dukane Ultra Short Throw Projectors
Q. What makes Dukane’s Ultra Short Throw Technology (UST) unique?
A. Dukane’s UST projectors have the shortest throw distance on the market (60‖ image from a lens that’s
only 16.5‖ away from the screen—and only 3.8‖ from projector to wall). This means presenters will no
longer have to look into the beam of the light when facing the room. Ultra Short Throw technology is also
great for use in small, awkward spaces, as the projection distance is very short, making this the perfect
solution for venues of all shapes and sizes. These projectors are also loaded with extra features such as
enhanced security and teaching aids such as Template*, where gridlines can be projected on a
whiteboard, making it easier to write on the board. Longer life lamps and filters result in lower
maintenance requirements,
All of Dukane Ultra-Short Throw Projectors come with Dukane’s industry-Leading FIVE-year warranty.
2. Q. Where would Ultra Short Throw projectors work best?
A. Dukane’s line of Ultra Short Throw projectors isextremely versatile. They are perfect for use in the
following environments:
1. Small spaces – These projectors can be placed very close to the screen and still achieve a large
image, it is the perfect application for tight spaces. This is why they are often used with Interactive
Whiteboards (aka ―smart boards‖)
2. Rooms with extraordinary ceilings – This projector can be wall mounted therefore problems relating
to large voids above suspended ceilings are a thing of the past. Restrictions associated with installing
projectors in listed architecture structures, for example, Churches and open space areas, can easily be
avoided. Another possible use is for rooms with many air conditioning ducts, or complex cabling situated
in ceiling voids.
3. 3. Rear Projection: Dukane UST Projectors are ideal for rear projection due to the short throw distance,
resulting in clean and compact, space-saving installation.
4-Digital Signage: Ultra Short Throw Technology opens up a world of new possibilities in
retail and digital signage applications, and schools. From shop window installations to
schools lobbies, to interactive maps in airport lounges, images can be projected on to
surfaces that were never thought possible, and thereby enhance the visitor or customer
experience.
4. Q. What is a Hybrid filter and how does it add value to the projector?
A. The Hybrid filter in Dukane UST Projectors significantly extends scheduled filter change
periods by effectively preventing dust from entering the projector over a longer period of
time. The new hybrid filter can last up to 4000 hours (under normal usage) to coincide with
expected lamp maintenance intervals. This reduces both maintenance and possible added
projector parts. In addition this unique technology means that the user doesn’t need to
clean the filter, it can simply be replaced when changing the lamp. The new lamp comes
with a replacement filter.
Q. What is the Template feature?
A. This allows the projector to show lines or squares on a whiteboard as an aid for writing or drawing.
Q. What is the “Perfect Fit “Feature?
A. This is a function to aid installation. It enables you to adjust the geometry for each
corner of the projector individually.
Q. Can I play video as well as showing a PC?
A. Yes, the entire Ultra Short Throw projector line has a wide variety of inputs including 2 x
PC/component, S-video, and Composite connections.
Q. What size picture can be shown?
A. We recommend between 60‖ and 100‖ diagonal image.
Q. What security features do these projectors have?
A. There is a range of enhanced security features:
1. Pincode lock: If the projector is disconnected from the AC power, a code must to be
entered before it will operate.
2. Security Bar: A stainless steel security bar and tamper-proof labeling, plus a Kensington
lock attachment.
3. Transition Detector: If the projector is moved, a pin-code will be required before it can
be used.
4. Email Alert: An email alert will be sent when a projector is removed from the network-
ready models.
