one alumnus.

11. 11MBA Programs Ā· The Global executive MBA
Great leaders can see both the global picture and the interdependent human
elements within that picture. IESEās personalized approach builds and nurtures
the skills and insights you need to acquire this prized executive competency.
People Are Central
IESEās overriding mission is to
develop leaders who can have a
positive, profound and lasting impact
on people, firms and society through
their professionalism, integrity and
spirit of service.
The school defines organizations
and society as collections of people
interacting with each other to reach
a common goal, and advocates
service to people and society as the
underlying aim of global business
leaders.
For this reason, the Global
Executive MBA program uses
a person-centered approach
to enhance your management
knowledge and skill set. Throughout
the program, as you expand your
knowledge of critical business areas,
you also learn to make decisions that
assess the impact on people, the
environment and society as a whole.
In the process, thinking ethically,
as well as strategically, becomes
second nature.

AT THE HUB
AND IN THE NETWORK
Career-Spanning Connections
After hours dedicated to cases, projects,
team-building activities and other
assignments, you will forge lasting
professional relationships and friendships.
As observed by one program graduate
at the one-year reunion, āI realized how
much we liked each other and what a tight
bond had formed with this diverse group
of people.ā Many classes continue to have
annual reunions and some have even made
investments together.
The IESE Alumni Association extends your
professional network beyond your class and
offers a lifetime of learning. With one of the
highest membership rates in the world, the
association opens a world of connections
and learning through its numerous services,
networking events, activities for you and
your family, and IESE faculty-led continuous
education programs.
The Center: You
Your learning becomes personal as the
concepts you acquire bring clarity to your
unique professional challenges. Your
in-company project and personalized
action plan make learning even more
relevant to your companyās needs. You will
also build vital entrepreneurial skills by
developing a business plan for your own
new venture.
Personal growth and development are
paramount in this program, since your
ability to inspire and lead involves gaining
awareness of yourself and your leadership
style. Your team will be assigned a
personal adviser who will coach and
mentor you on your leadership and
communication styles.
13. 13MBA Programs Ā· The Global executive MBA
Your identity as a Global Executive MBA student at IESE begins with you, placed at the center
of your learning. That identity starts as a member of a study group, a class, a team or a
group of friends, and continues to evolve as a graduate when you join the ranks of more
than 40,000 IESE alumni worldwide.
āThe impact of this program has never
ended. it has changed the ENTIRE way I
view my business. In my country, there
is a fear that people who invest in your
business WILL TAKE it over. But after my
IESE experience, I became quite liberated
in terms of opening up my company to new
investors.
While I was in the program, I decided to
approach the largest French manufacturer
of office seating, Sokoa SA of France, about
a joint venture in Nigeria. This was my first
test of the theory I learned in school. I
used my proposed venture with Sokoa for
my business plan in our entrepreneurship
course. My entire class was able to review
what I wanted to do and my professor of
entrepreneurship GAVE an opinion about it.
Sokoa agreed to my plan on the condition
that I BE THE CEO of that company. They did
not expect to get any dividends for five
years, but we started paying dividends IN the
second year.ā

AT A GLANCE
Modular in design, the program offers you
the flexibility you need to balance your
professional and personal commitments.
PRE-MODULE:
A TIME FOR PREPARATION
Your skill levels may differ from those
of other participants depending on
your professional background. This
period gives you time to learn or
refresh fundamental concepts and
prepare for the residential sessions.
RESIDENTIAL SESSIONS:
CLASSROOM LEARNING AND TEAMWORK
Analysis and discussions of
real-world case studies, interactive
team activities, lectures and
workshops bring everyone face to
face during residential modules.
Company visits, guest speakers
and networking events enrich the
experience.
DISTRIBUTED LEARNING:
REAL-WORLD APPLICATION
Between residential modules, you
will be able to apply in the workplace
what you have learned in the
classroom. Exams are also part of

cases, engage in discussions with
faculty experts and collaborate on
projects when it is most convenient
for you.
The Global Executive MBA is a one class, two track program. Participants can choose to begin their program with an

through IESE. In either case, the
IESE IT staff will configure laptops
(at no cost) with the necessary
technology for the Global Campus
website platform. Special laptop
requirements are applicable and
will be communicated to admitted
candidates in the welcome materials.
Financing Options
Besides self-financing, there are four
other ways of financing your MBA.
1. Company sponsorship
Companies frequently provide their
employees with some financial
support. We can work with you to
prepare a tailored proposal to your
employer for sponsorship of the Global
Executive MBA and will be happy to
make a presentation to your employer
about the program. Candidates who
are sponsored by their employers do
not qualify for scholarships.
2. IESE-Banco Sabadell Global Loan
In partnership with one of Europeās
leading banks, IESE is able to offer an
exclusive loan program to all admitted
applicants, either to fully or partially
finance their tuition.
3. The Sallie Mae - Smart Option Student
Loan
The Sallie Mae - Smart Option Student
Loan is a loan available to American
citizens. Qualified participants may
be eligible to borrow for the full cost of
their education, less other aid received,
as certified by the school.
4. Other sources of finance

24. Loan Program
IESE and one of Europeās leading
banks āBanco Sabadellā have an
agreement by which IESE MBA
students can finance their studies with
loans that may not require a personal
guarantee. This loan is further proof
of the commitment between IESE and
Sabadell to promote the quality of
management around the globe, thus
ensuring there is no financial barrier
for any exceptional individual who has
the potential to become a world-class
manager.
Tuition Only
The global loan covers up to 80
percent of tuition fees, including the
deposit of ā¬9,500. It does not cover
accommodation or travel expenses.
Global Loan Conditions
The loan is available to applicants who
have received written confirmation of
acceptance into the program and have
paid the tuition deposit.
During the MBA, students will only
pay interest on the loan.
According to recent Spanish
regulations, anyone receiving a
loan in Spain must have a fiscal
identification number (NIF/NIE).
The Admissions Manager of the
program will assist you with the
documentation required to obtain
the NIE and the loan.
The final decision on awarding
the loan rests entirely with the
bank. Signing the loan will take
place during Residential Module
1. The loan, life insurance and PPI
contracts will be signed in English.
The bank will transfer the funds
to IESE after the loan signing, in
accordance with the IESE MBA
schedule.
Sabadell reserves the right to deny
any loan application in accordance
with IESE Business School should
there be evidence of misconduct or
financial distress in the applicantās
history.
LIFE INSURANCE & BANK GUARANTEE
All students are required to take out
a life insurance policy. Details will be
provided before signing the contract.
The bank guarantee is a joint
commitment for payment of the loan
that gives credit in favor of Sabadell
when the student does not meet
debt payments. The bank guarantee
must be obtained from the studentās
bank in his/her home country for the
full amount of the loan, in addition
to the expenses attached to the
loan. The bank can require a bank
guarentee in some cases.
Premium & Expenses
Insurance and expenses pertaining
to the loan must be paid in one
installment when signing the loan
contract and will be included in the
amount to be financed.
