f there exists a fundamental secret for
successful restaurant ownership, Fred
and Susan Javidi have it. Observing
them in action on a busy Friday night
might hint at the fact that this couple has
their hand in every aspect of their estab-
lishment on Hernando Beach.
RBeach runs like a well-oiled machine.
And the Javidis would be the first to say it
takes a compilation of things working
together to survive, as they have, through
a compromised economy.
Yet they’ve managed to do
just that in the 10 years RBeach has been
open, serving not just Hernando County
but pulling patrons from across the Na-
ture Coast.
“We are the biggest and best place to
go in the three-county area,” said Fred
Javidi. “We have the best food, the best
dining rooms and the best tiki bar
around.”
Known for its coastal atmosphere,
succulent diverse dishes and extremely
friendly ambiance, RBeach is much more
than one might expect in a local estab-
lishment. It rests on a quiet canal along
the nature preserve with an
abundance of wildlife,
including friendly feeding turtles, egrets
and quietly grazing deer. A sign warns of
the potential for cruising alligators,
which have been spotted at various
times.
And inside, the charm continues be-
yond what looks from the outside like a
small, quaint intimate little dining estab-
