17. User Profile Manager (UPM)
• Also known as Portable Profiles or Portable Profile Manager
– All GUI screens read User Profile Manager; Citrix web site reads User Profile

• Functions with XenApp, XenDesktop, and local desktop
• Controlled by GPO; managed by Group Policy Management Console
– No proprietary management console and no dedicated servers required
– Can also be configured locally via INI files
• Service runs on each managed computer
