Presentation from ION Djibouti on 2 June 2014 by Alain Aina. The Internet Society produces maps that provide a view into global DNSSEC deployment and break the deployment status into five categories: experimental, announced, partial, DS in root, and operational. These maps are a bit different from other DNSSEC statistics sites in that they contain both factual, observed information (for the “DS in Root” and “Operational” states) and also information based on news reports, presentations and other collected data (the first three states). Where are African ccTLDs on their path toward full DNSSEC deployment?

5. DNSSEC ROADSHOW
• The Africa dnssec roadshow aims at sensitizing on
DNSSEC deployment and contributing to showcase
current deployments (where available) and organizing
specific training for ccTLDs and ISPs managers.
• This project is executed in accordance with the ICANN
African strategy.
• The overall objective is to promote dnssec adoption in
Africa.
• Phase one has been completed.
• Phase two is ongoing according to the FY14
Implementation plan..
