2. Outgoing President of the
Denver Coach Federation
Message from Marty Vondrell
President, Denver Coach Federation
Hello members and welcome to 2012!
I have high expectations for the DCF and the field of coaching. I believe in the powerful impact
coaching will have on our clients, our corporations and our community in the new year. We are
living in fascinating times. We are entering a time when it is more important than ever to be
present in the moment, exercise multiple perspectives, be true to yourself and lead a fulfilling life.
I believe that coaching, more than anything else, can help people, organizations and communities
create what they truly want.
The DCF Board of Directors has created a vision of giving for 2012. We would like to inspire you all
to create what you want by helping others. Creating a focus on giving to clients, giving to
organizations, and giving to our communities. Coaching is a higher calling and through it, we can
help our clients by providing perspective and the presence to help them create what they want.
Someone once said that we can get everything we want by helping others get what they want. I
invite you to help yourself by helping others get what they want. With a pure focus of helping
others, this focus of inspired giving will enable us to have everything we desire.
I am honored to be your president for 2012. I have a passion for leadership, and I will do my best
to provide it. I ask that you get involved personally and professionally in the DCF. We are an
organization that is inspired to enhance your coaching industry long into the future. I am here for
you, the board is here for you, and we are all here for each other. Please reach out to me,
personally, or anyone on the board to make your feelings and thoughts heard and get involved.
The DCF is for all of us, and I know the impact and difference you can make will be truly amazing
as we give of ourselves into this New Year.
With the warmest regards,
Marty Vondrell

Topic: "Thumbonomics: The Essential Business Roadmap to Social Media & Mobile Marketing"
Just look around. The world navigates The Web Via Their Thumbs on their
Smartphone or iPhone! How does a business plan for the future and
innovate now for Findability and profits.
Fully 65% of adult internet users now say they use a social networking site like MySpace,
2 of 10 1/8/2012 12:30 PM
3. Facebook or LinkedIn, up from 61% one year ago. This marks the first time in Pew Internet
surveys that 50% of all adults use social networking sites.
Adapt or Die…Which Do You Choose For Your Company? Our goal as business owners is to attract
the right customers and persuade them to buy, but with people searching in a myriad of different
places, how do I ensure that my business gets found with Social Media? Social Media Sites like
Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter ARE SEARCH ENGINES! You will be inspired with new ideas
and a greater understanding of how to leverage Social Media for Findability and how keyword
research can help find you, including what tangible steps you can take to be successful on the key
Social Media sites.
The presentation will cover:
Becoming findable under the right keywords
How to setup and optimize your Social Media sites
How to get real business from Social Media
Mobile Marketing Tactics like QR Codes, Yelp.com Optimization and more.
CEO Interviews and Case Study with Industry CEO Visionary Tony Hseih, CEO Zappos
CEO Interview and Case Study with Governor of Colorado John Hickenlooper
CEO Interview and Case Study with Keegan Gerhard, Celebrity Chef for Food Network
CEO Interview and Case Study with Charlie Cole, VP of Luck Brand Jeans
CEO Interview & Case Study with Bill Gerth, Head of ComCast Twitter Team!
This presentation will give you strategies, tactics, tools and tips to optimize your Social Media
Marketing efforts in conjunction with your website. Social Media Marketing, just like a website, can
be so much more than just an online brochure. Optimizing your Social Media correctly, using free,
low-cost tools and Heather’s strategies; website owners can dominate the first page of search
engine results. This is the Findability Formula for Social Media – an in depth look into Social Media
and a “how-to” approach to dominating search results and market share online.
Led by Social Media expert Heather Lutze, this high-energy and informative presentation is not
just for geeks, but designed for everyone on your team responsible for attracting customers and
driving sales.
About Heather Lutze
Heather is the widely acclaimed speaker, trainer, and consultant who literally wrote the book on
search engine marketing. Two books, in fact—The Findability Formula: The Easy, Non-Technical
Approach to Search Engine Marketing and the brand new Thumbonomics: The Essential Business
Roadmap for Social Media & Mobile Marketing. Her writing and in-demand keynotes are delivered
with the same witty, “no-geek-speak” style that has managed to demystify Internet marketing for
countless business owners. Breaking free of corporate “cubicle” jobs over ten years ago with
nothing more than a dream of entrepreneurship and a computer in the basement, Heather built
her business into a multimillion-dollar company—the Findability Group. Today she leads a
dedicated and slightly obsessed team of search marketing pros—their mission—to connect clients
with their perfect customers online.
