1. For my music magazine I wanted to combine the latest music and bands with the most desired and upcoming style of fashion. I found that music and fashion work considerably well together. My magazine promotes current artists but also introduces new artists along with highstreet style and cosmetics aswell as designer products. I worked closely with vogue and elle. So I wanted my magazine to be simple, stylish and fashionable.

3. My masthead was inspired by Vogue. I wanted something simple and one worded. Verse was short and it also linked with music. I used Dafont to find a serif type font. Black font keeps is stylish and sleek. The writing is also bold which is important for the masthead to stand out. In a previous survey I took before I created the magazine 62% said an interesting image was what they looked for on the front. My photographs are the most important on the magazine because of the style of fashion my model wears. I used Elle as guidance for my photoshoot using a plain white backdrop to avoid any unnecessary detail keeping it simple. I used sunglasses as an accessory because they are big in the music world with current artists including Calvin Harris. I placed my model over the masthead this relates to Elle and Vogue as they use the same technique. This looks more professional and connects the magazine all together. The coverlines are also serif font and black to keep the style of the font masthead. I have challanged conventions by not following the the left third. I wanted to keep the image the striking part.

4. My contents follows the same font style and colours. I added a 3 rd colour, crème to contrast with the background of the image.

6. I used this Bazzar magazine contents as inspiration for my own contents. I used the top right to display the magazine logo the same way as bazzar has used theres. Bazzars magazine is very box like and parrellel. I kept all my wiriting and images parrellel to make it more formal and stylish. I also used headings to separate my magazines pages into groups to find easier in the same style as bazzar’s contents. I used two photos with annotations underneath with the page number to inform my reader.

8. My double page spread is designed much like an Elle page. Ive used three columns of text as the same as Elle’s articles. I used a mixture of bold, italic normal and fonts. This has made my page a little more playful and stonger. I used a mixture of serif and sans serif to make others stand out against eachother. I used the top left to use the word ‘exclusive’ because it encourages the reader to read the page. I used a pull qoute to relate the image with the article. distribute My magazine would be sold mainly in city’s or big towns in newsagents. Many glossie magazines like mine have an online website and version where you can see additional updates on celebrities, fashion, music and also subscribe to your magazines. On my contents I have the website published advitesed where you can subscribe and also on my double page where you can read more about my main article/artist.

10. Audience feedback 81% of my audience agreed that my magazine was stylish & 29% said it was simplistic. 66% of my audience said that my magazine resemble Vogue the most 37% layout was the most that stood out
