4. Treatment
Our Advert is all about the London 2012 Olympics because the Olympics is one
the most important events that will happen in 2012. our advert will include
various of pictures of the Olympics , including captions and information. The
heading and the slogan will be at the top of the ad, in a bigger font compared
to other texts, because we feel the heading is the most important and
captures attention from the audience. We have several pictures of products
e.g. Wrist bands that also entice the audience and promotes the London 2012
Olympics. The ad will also include competitions for them to win prizes such as
the Olympics tickets . It also has info packed with new ideas to inspire our
audience and it reveals the new GB kit for the Olympics. The background of
the Ad will be the Britain flag as that indicates where the Olympics are hosted
so it will be important to make the background all about Britain/London.
It will have a picture of the Olympics stadium, so the audience can have an idea
to what Olympics is mainly about. Our ad’s purpose is to inform audience
(whether they are teenagers or adults) about the London Olympics 2012 so
we can encourage everyone to contribute to an important event.
We thought an AD will be affective because it brings sense of awareness
about the Olympics and adds excitement to the whole AD. We also thought an
AD will be better than a film, because Ads are especially seen to the audience
rather than films.

9. Evaluation
I think what was good about my poster was that it provides information about Olympics
explicitly to the target audience by adding pictures of the Olympics and also the colours
represent the Olympics well so it catches a lot of attention. I also think my Ad is
correctly targeted to teenagers/adults because the way I’ve used the language on the
Ad.
However I could improve my Ad by adding a lot more information and pictures to inform
our audience and could of made the Ad using Illustrator instead of PowerPoint. Also
more colour could be added to the poster so that it would grab more attention and
make the poster itself more colourful & bold. I think the font could of looked more of a
jokey style so that it wouldn’t look too serious. I could also improve by adding a lot
more pictures e.g. Sports, a map where the Olympic stadium is held etc.
The whole aim to my Ad was to inform the audience about the London 2012 Olympics
because as well all know it’s one of the top events happening in 2012. I think I’ve
successfully did that, but could of put more effort so the Ad looks more professional.
But personally I think the poster doesn’t tell that much info about the Olympics to the
audience.
