DCarsonCPA Brief Introduction
 Our roots correspond to 20+ years of workflows on Accounting, Financials, Taxation and related lines. On the
professional path of Audit – CFO / Controlling and Lean Management Consulting for Entities working with
Directors, C-level Executives, In House council & Senior Management Teams, Internal and External Team
Members, Clients, Vendors, Bankers, CPA’s. Attorney’s. Market Data & Research Vendors, Regulators & more.
 We began with roots to Music and Transitioned Early to Retail Management for a Fortune 500 (Walgreens –
Store Management, Staff & Cash Operations) then moved to Fortune 500 Insurance (AIG) and to a line of
diverse Services and Financial Services Entities. Notables include WPP Group PLC a UK LSE Co., Deutsche
Bank, Bank of NY Mellon (Founder Alexander Hamilton’s Bank) and a series of SMEs (as they are called in
the UK) , Small and Medium Entities as called in the US for the specific value of hands on Ownership of
financials and related processes front to back for Senior Management, Deals, Turnaround Projects and other
needs. To simplify we also have experience with Government and Non Profits elsewhere explained. The
work with SMEs included NYSE, FINRA, SEC, NAIC , State Insurance and more on the regulated financial
entities lines as a common framework to all regulated entities.
 5 years ago on average after a mid-career interlude for Family needs we launched a business which was a
reflection of deep experience on project consulting with notable lines including delivery of 8/8 rounds of
clean audit financials owning financials, SEC, FINRA and NYSE facing roles and managing to the needs of
compliant financials to help key entity needs for Leadership, Management and Compliance in compliment to
Financials. Add the experience of building out and relocating departments and a history of lean
management consulting taping the strong resources of the AICPA, Regulators, Research and our overall peer
groups with a deep commitment to the integrity of financials and the meaning of accounting as a
profession. Upon this path continually working with CFA path improvements on knowledge, deep interests in
science and engineering , more than a casual interest to follow regulatory lines to Laws and Rules to grow
on skills and a continual line of delivering results through financials with compliance.
 To the launch of a practice in the era of Dodd-Frank and with consideration of the needs to stand with
integrity to offer support to client needs as a stand alone service we arrived to our lines on value when we
realize that learning, research, growth and continual renewal where very core points of our makeup. Hence
we determined that the correct path for us was knowledge, experience, teamwork and research.

Accounting Financials Taxes
In General on Services All Entities and Individuals / Families have the
Minimal relevant elements of Accounting, Financials and Taxes.
The Nature of Services Rendered pertain to the needs of Clients on specific
engagements through the Framework of relevant rules on Accounting, Financials,
Taxes and Services . Roles general delineate between preparing and reviewing
Financials. Taxes may include review and preparation of Tax Returns. On Project
Services for Entities we may have scope defined elements of projects as the size
of the entity grows. We work on full scope and scope limited services.

DCarsonCPA conceptual framework
 Some substance to the matter of Accountants and Services in overview:
 Accounting exists within a relevant Framework of Services. Distinguishing the lines between
bookkeeping services and Accounting Services corresponds to the needs of clients on Services.
While bookkeeping is a functional level of capturing transactions and recording them and may
also be referred to as Accounting Services, the delineation of Professional Accounting Services
corresponds to a level of greater needs in relation to a framework of Laws Rules and Guidelines
for Accountancy. Accountants may be unlicensed but a CPA License pertains to an additional level
of formal education evidencing the commitment of the Accountant to the profession. There are
also many different types of Accountants who may be very focused on different needs. There are
Financial Accountants, Tax Accountants, Management Accountants, Regulatory Accountants, Policy
Accountants, Academic Accountants / Doctors, Professors and Instructors, External Auditors,
Internal Auditors, Financial Analysts, government accountants, corporate accountants, non profit
accountants, IT accountants / auditors, and more. We are fortunate in that our experience covers
some of all of these points.
 The conceptual framework is as implied a framework of Laws, Rules, Governance, Industry
Standards, Entity Standards and Contractual Frameworks for Agreed upon needs of Clients on
Services. In general the Standards on services correspond to GAAP, GASB, Tax or other Basis of
Accounting as relevant, potentially to include Regulatory Standards and ALL services correspond
to a relevant framework defined in State Laws and Rules, AICPA Standards, Accounting Standards
and relevant Tax Standards, PCAOB (where relevant / applicable as example) and the various
lines of specialized needs relevant to Client Services Engagements and Services Agreements. The
Defining Element of Client Services Agreements is an important element of connecting on Client
Services to clearly define lines of needs for Services including relevant frameworks of needs for

DCarsonCPA Basic Tools of Accounting
 Sometimes it helps to provide a basic framework for common ground, not all of us are
accountants or love the work of numbers in case that speaks to you and your look to it here is
a bridge of simplified awareness:
 Basic tools of the Accountant: Debits, Credits, Laws, Rules, Standards, Economics, Accounting
Principals, Ledgers, Sub-ledgers, Journals, Trial Balances, Financial Statements and related
Forms and Filings.
 The capture of your income (think W2 or gross receipts for Entity Sales) less Expenses and /or
the intra-period benefits of outlays for Materials as Assets or borrowings as Liabilities or
Capital Raises as Equity (ie issuing Stock in a Company) all of these events are captured as
Debits and Credits and run through the framework above as a gross over simplification to
explain. In short to connect the random and recurrent events of income and outflows with a
more meaningful framework of classifications to Economic, Accounting, Tax and Regulatory
Purposes for Meaningful analysis of results and compliance with applicable Standards, Laws
and Rules which define the operating framework of Professional services in relation to
defined contracts on client services and related needs on governance and compliance.
 Four Core Financials speak to the basic elements of Accounting. They are the Balance Sheet,
Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows and Statement of Owners / or Stockholders
Equity. These are the core Accounting Tools as Financials, the Tax lines produce Tax Basis
Financials as another form of Tax basis financials.

DCarsonCPA Closing Notes/Industry Lines
 Industry lines correspond to specific Elements of needs relevant to your or Individual needs.
 The core work products are Accounting, financials, taxes and elements of compliance. Our role on
these points may be about producing these elements. Working on components of these elements
of compiling, reviewing or Auditing these elements where eligible / relevant / applicable. We are
NON PCAOB at present on Audits but reserve the possibility for future PCAOB registration as
relevant to client needs.
 This introduces the core financials lines we have on Accounting, Taxes, Financials and the
compliance components of financials (in brief capacity as linked out to our web for more)
 The goal of this presentation is for marketing purposes of general awareness and must not be
interpreted as advice for reliance in any way shape manner or form. Client Relationships
correspond to written agreements or they do not exist. In the absence of a signed written
agreement on services we have no relationship on services. Professional Standards under both the
AICPA and Tax Services note the value of written agreements that both define the nature, extent
and timing of services and also the deliverables and duties of compliant services for both the
Accountant and the Client.
 Certain Industries in fact all industries have specific elements of specialized needs for Accounting,
Financials and Taxes. We cover these needs with adaptive services of knowledge, experience,
teamwork and research to emphasize core values that we exist in a framework of teamwork with
connection to our Industry Groups and peer groups from which to best meet client needs on
services along with our strong skills and cross functional teamwork with other aligned
professionals where relevant to client needs and as defined on services agreements. In the
aggregate our pathway is one of hands on services, research and outreach for community
awareness and improvements where our unique skills add value to common needs.

All sectors. We work with the core assertion that financial skills in the aggregate are a key component of helping on needs for growth,
efficiency and improvements across sectors in the aggregate. We believe that the core of ALL value in the Economy is actually Freedom,
Liberty and Equality. That the gift of the founders and the very principles of Freedom that support liberty, free speech, freedom of
expression, freedom of religion and freedom of trade are core values that we all must work together to preserve regardless of our individual
views, the voice of differing opinions strengthens who we are together. This is a unique time in world affairs where we must all open our
voices to speak to the values of Freedom and Liberty. At the points where we meet with Freedom and Liberty with a value to core
principals defined in Our Constitution. Principles which have grown with us as we grow to overcome challenges of societal inequity in a
manner evident of continual improvements, not in perfection but as an amazing feat of teamwork in the teamwork of the founders to
define a system from which we could grow together. This is a testimony to who we are together and not apart, greater as the sum of who
we are together. While this corresponds to the domestic lines it is also relevant to the Global lines of Freedom, Liberty and Trade between
orderly Nations. Trade and growth makes us all part of a better connected World one with less inequity and one with greater peace. To the
balance or orderly Trade amongst Free Nations and to a supporting voice for the rights of freedom and self determination we can help on
needs and will help with awareness to lines for improvements because in the aggregate the entrepreneurial lines of growth permit to work
in a manner that can benefit not only the needs we have for growth and improvements for societal growth. We value this as a key element
of a new age of technology where the skills of communications can help on societal needs, entity needs and individual / family needs.
