3. Vauxhall BID
The Vauxhall BID (business improvement district) is an initiative set up by local business and
Lambeth Council. The idea is that businesses in the BID’s boundaries will be charged a small
levy in return for better services than those already covered by the police and the council.
With several developments planned, Vauxhall is set to improve a great deal over the next few
years. The BID offers a way for the community to capitalise on the enormous potential in the
area. work
Building on the great things already happening in the area, the BID will make Vauxhall more
attractive to visitors and encourage people who are already here to stay a bit longer.

4. Branding.
Vauxhall is a great place. It is tolerant, vibrant and diverse. Trouble is a lot of people don’t
know that.
One of the issues we identified is that Vauxhall has three distinct groups, which generally don’t
mix. There is the night time club and bar scene, the day time work crowd and residential
communities. Our brand had to find a way to unite the three sectors that are all key to the
area. We set to work on something that celebrated Vauxhall’s varied communities while being
something that they could all relate to.
All is the key word.
After researching every detail of the story of Vauxhall, the pirates, pineapples and pleasure
gardens; we spotted it. Right there. Under. Our. Noses.
Vauxhalls branding needs to represent what is important to Vauxhall, the people.
Our logo unifies the area, the circle represents the coming together of the diverse group of
people.
