Heart of Danville announces Pollom as new President
Danville, KY— Heart of Danville Main Street Program is pleased to announce Bill Pollom, Vice
President, and Business Development at Farmers National Bank, as the new president of the
organization.
The current HOD slate of officers reads as follows:
 President, Bill Pollom, Farmers National Bank
 Vice-President: Paige Stevens, Jessamine County Schools
 Treasurer: Don Linville, Danville Office Equipment
 Secretary: Mary Beth Touchstone, Community Arts Center
 Past-President: Vicki Darnell, Ephraim McDowell Health
“It will be my pleasure to work in the capacity of Heart of Danville President for the year ahead.
Vicki Darnell has done an outstanding job setting a course and leading the organization during a
period of exceptional change. We are very grateful for the work she has done in the capacity of
president,” said Pollom.
“The Heart of Danville will continue to provide help and guidance for the entire membership and
actively work with all of our Economic Development Partners for the betterment of Danville and
Boyle County.”
Heart of Danville Interim Executive Director Brenda Willoughby said, “Bill understands the
importance of the Main Street Program and the Heart’s role to preserve the quality of life of our
downtown community.”
Since 1980, the National Main Street Center has been working with communities across the nation
to revitalize their historic or traditional commercial areas. Based in historic preservation, the Main
Street approach was developed to save historic commercial architecture and the fabric of American
communities' built environment, but has become a powerful economic development tool as
well. Main Street programs are designed to improve all aspects of the downtown or central business
district, producing both tangible and intangible benefits
