“Okay
Mom!”

3. Mom said, “Jack, I
was wondering if
you wanted to help
me with the grocery
shopping by
carrying the list and
crossing the items
as we put them in
the cart?”
Jack said, “Yes, I
would love to
help!”

4. Jack said “Look
Mom, he is
getting a brand
new bicycle
today too, can
we please go to
the toy aisle
now?” Mom
said, “Not yet, if
you look at the
list we have ten
more items to
pick up then we
can go to the
toy section.”

5. “Where
are those
Saber
tooth
Chips?”
“I really can’t
wait to see
the
bikes, Mom
will not even
notice I’m
gone.”

6. “There it is. The
bike I have always
wanted.”

7. “Can I help you
Ma’am?” said
the sale
associate.
“HELP! HELP!”

8. “My son is MISSING! I have his picture in
my purse!” said Mom.

9. “Okay, Ma’am, lets stay calm, do you have any
idea where he may have wandered off to?” the
sales associate asked.

10. Mom said, “I know where he is! He probably wandered to
the toy aisle to see the bicycles. We had discussed getting
one today if he followed directions.” Mom and the sales
associate walked to the toy section to see if they could
find Jack.

11. Jack saw his Mom and
said, “Hey Mom there
you are! Look at this
bicycle isn’t it great?
It’s on sale for this
week only.” Mom
looked at Jack with a
worried face and
sighed with relief. Jack
said, “ What’s the
matter Mom?”

12. Mom looked at Jack and said, “I was terribly
worried because you wandered off. It scared me
to think that I couldn’t find you.”

13. Mom looked at Jack and said, “You need to listen to
the rules. Rules keep you safe. Do you understand
why I am angry?”
“I do Mom, it’s because I wondered off and didn’t
tell you where I was going,” Jack replied.

14. The sales associate said to
Jack and Mrs. Dino, “ I’m
glad you have been
reunited. Is there
anything else I can do for
the two of you?”
Mom said, “No thank you, I appreciate you helping me
find my son!” The sales associate said good bye and he
went back to work.

15. Jack looked at Mom
sadly and said, “But
Mom it’s on sale this
week.”
“It doesn’t matter you
need to listen. If you
follow the directions
next time maybe we
can get it,” Mom said
sternly.
