2. Endnote Function in Word 2007
1. Under View menu, click Print Layout
View, click in text where you want to
insert an Endnote
2. References Tab, open Footnotes
Group [tiny arrow bottom right corner],
Click Endnotes radio button
3. Change style in Number Format box
4. Click Insert

citation. Double click the note number to
return to place in text
6. To add more Endnotes click Insert

1. Under View tab select Draft
2. On References tab click Show Notes
3. Pull down menu in Notes pane, select
Endnote Separator

In Normal View, on View menu, Click on
Footnotes
In the Note pane below the document, pull down
and select the type of separator in Endnotes
box, Endnote Separator delete, and
Endnote Continuation Separator delete

7. TOC Function: MS Word 2007
1. On Insert Tab select page break above the
Title or first paragraph and click on the new
page
2. In your document, highlight the first heading
you want to be in the TOC. Introduction
3. Under the Home Tab select Heading Style
Icon (level 1, 2, 3), repeat for all headings

Contents Icon
5. Select a style on the Table of
Contents menu
6. Select Automatic Table 1 or another
style in the list

(bottom of TOC menu)
8. Select Formats in pull down menu, OK
* You can erase the TOC and redo it any
time. It tracks text movements and
dynamically updates the page numbering.

(sometimes next to the font styles menu).

6. Pull down the Insert menu, under Break
put a Page Break so your TOC it appears
on its own on the first page. Keep the cursor
at that place.

7. Pull down the Insert menu again, and
under Reference,
choose Tables & Index,
then choose Table of Contents

8. In the dialog box, choose a style format, or
just use the default and click OK. Your
TOC will appear with page numbers where
you clicked on the blank first page.
9. To update, Right-click on your TOC and
select Update.

Endnote Separator Lines
1. Under the View menu select Draft,
2. In View menu select Footnotes.
3. Tiny Footnotes pull down menu bottom of document:
4. Select Footnote Separator, delete it.
5. Select Footnote Continuation Separator, delete it.
6. Save the document.
In Draft, pull down menu
located at the bottom of the document

Separator Line inside
the box and Delete

20. MAC Word 2011: Insert Table
of Contents [ToC]
1. In your document, Highlight section headings to include in the ToC,
2. Home tab, under sub-tab Styles,
3. Click menu arrows then click a Heading style, e.g. Heading 1.
4. Repeat for each heading you want to include in the ToC.
5. Click at top of document where ToC should appear, Insert page brea
6. Click in the new page so ToC is on a separate first page.
7. Insert Index and Tables, then click Table of Contents tab.
