2. Objectives
• Catalyze active community around Europeana: strengthen
existing networks and engaging new stakeholders
• Support a network of open metadata evangelists
(OpenGLAM) for raising awareness of legal and technical best
practises around open cultural data
• Enable content holders to contribute new material to
Europeana (workshops, documentation)
• Facilitate collaboration between technologists in the
Europeana community and end users
(events, online activities, contest)

• Continue to build awareness of DM2E tools amongst Digital
Humanists and cultural heritage professionals;
• Winners of Contest Award round 2 start their work;

The first workshop involved both a coding sprint on the user interface of Pundit itself and a requirements gathering exercise from Italian humanities researchers. This event also served to raise awareness about Pundit and the DM2E scholarly environment amongst practicing humanities researchers.
