The Road Trippin' program highlights local travel destinations on TV news segments and online to encourage viewers to plan getaways. Each week a new location is featured, with videos showing places to stay, eat, and things to do, plus a special "secret" revealed only on TV. Viewers are directed to the website to access information on all past and upcoming locations. Sponsors receive video promotion and links on the TV segments, website, and social media to reach the program's large audience.
2. Road Trippin’ is an on-air and on-line franchise that encourages viewers to travel to
“featured” cities or special events. The mission is to create a travel itinerary to get viewers
to visit the location by highlighting places to stay, places to eat and things to do in and
around the highlighted area!
On air segments will showcase a town/event and the assets at the destination:
Destination and the assets will be highlighted in in the morning newscast. Through
video and experience, our reporter will highlight where to stay, eat and what to do at
each destination by building a travel itinerary. The morning your city is highlighted we
will reveal a travel secret – something cool to see or do that not everyone may know
about your destination!
Viewers will be directed to website to see all itineraries. The website will provide video and
specific information about each business. After the segment airs the video player will play all
previous news segments!
Any location that has not yet aired on TV will have all info available to an online viewer
except for the “secret”! You’ve got to tune in to morning news on Thursday to learn the
“secret” places to see or things to do.
