CASE STUDY: NIAGARA BOTTLING
Niagara Bottling LLC has announced it will invest $50
million in the Columbus Region, starting with the purchase
of a 308,000-square-foot facility in Gahanna. The new
operation will result in 73 jobs, with an average hourly
wage of $19.99. Total payroll is expected to reach $3
of operation. Jobs: 73
The California-based company, which started bottling five- Capital Investment: $50 million
gallon glass containers of water for homes and offices in Facility: Manufacturing
the early 1960s, now supplies single-serve, private label 308,000 sf
bottled water to grocery, club store, convenience and
wholesale customers throughout the U.S. For its 13th plant,
Niagara chose the Columbus Region over locations in
Michigan and Kentucky because of the available workforce
and market access.

Salt Lake City: The 2020 team attended the Logistics Development
Forum, networking with consultants and economic developers to
discuss logistics site selection.
Detroit: The 2020 business development team conducted a market
visit in the Detroit area, meeting with site selection consultants to
discuss their project pipeline.
Cleveland: The 2020 business development team travelled to
Cleveland to meet with site selction consultants engaged with active
projects in the Columbus Region.
Canada, The 2020 business development team conducted a mission to Toronto,
meeting with Canadian companies that are considering expansion or relocation
options within the United States.

CASE STUDY: STANLEY ELECTRIC
Stanley Electric, a supplier to Honda and other automakers, will
invest $56 million over three years in its London manufacturing
plant. In 2008, Stanley had started an expansion project to
double the size of the facility, but this was stalled by the
recession. The new investment will complete this expansion Jobs: 600+ retained
and allow the company to produce a new line of lights for Capital investment: $56 million
Honda and Nissan. Facility: Manufacturing (existing)
Madison County's largest employer, Stanley Electric has been
in London since 1981. The company currently occupies more
than 700,000 square feet for lighting and mold design,
engineering and production. Improvements to the facility will
help keep it competitive against moving operations abroad.

CASE STUDY: P&C PHARMA, INC.
Patients' & Consumers' Pharma, Inc. recently announced an
award of early funding from the Ohio Third Frontier program. A
TechColumbus TechGenesis grant will support the development
of INSTA Compounding System.
INSTA is the first automated device that can fully compound
tablets and capsules, allowing pharmacists and other healthcare
workers to serve patients liquid formulas on demand. The
company will initially target a variety of pharmacy settings
including hospitals, community and military medical facilities.
Originally founded in Pennsylvania, P&C Pharma is now
relocating the majority of its operations to the Columbus Region,
where it will conduct the development of INSTA. The company
has plans to raise its first round of investments before the end of
2012.

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. Over
the past several months, Columbus 2020 has gathered
input from the 11-county region, meeting with public and
private leaders and a variety of economic development
professionals to develop a draft Comprehensive
Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). This process
has allowed the Columbus Region to build upon the initial
Columbus 2020 strategy from nearly three years ago.
The CEDS will eventually be submitted to the U.S.
Economic Development Administration and will open up
new opportunities for federal resources. Prior to finalizing
the CEDS, Columbus 2020 is soliciting public comment
for a 30 day period ending September 23. To view the
