  • 3. Companies with disengaged employees have between 30% and 50% higher turnover than their counterparts. However, engaged employees can improve your company’s bottom line by as much as 19%
  • 4. At any given time, roughly one third of employees in private and public sectors are working remotely. Only 30 to 40% of workers with assigned spaces are actually using them

  • 8. For each 15% increase in workspace satisfaction, a 1%-4% increase in productivity can be assumed, per self- reported productivity data
  • 9. Daylighting design has also been linked to a 15% reduction in absenteeism in office environments. Increases in productivity of between 2.8% and 20% attributed to increased illuminance levels have also been found in other studies;
  • 10. When working in environments with white noise, improvements of 38% and 27% are reported in the performance of simple tasks and complex tasks respectively, as compared to tasks in unmasked noise conditions;
  • 11. The potential impact for buildings on overall productivity is +12.5 percent (improved performance) and -17 percent (hampered performance) for an overall 30 percent change in employee performance in the best and worst buildings.
