The intern helped with various parts of a solar concentrator project including building the framework, testing water flow through a radiator, constructing a parabolic reflector to test solar cells, and building a solar tracker and weather dome. The intern learned how to use power tools like a drill, lathe, and milling machine to construct the frameworks. They also learned how to use CAD software to design and get dimensions for the structures built.
