The Components of Culture COMMUNITY OF WORSHIP RELIGIOUS Culture IDENTIFIES ME AS BELONGING TO A PARTICULAR GROUP LINGUISTIC  NATIONAL FAMILY ETHNIC FRIENDS  PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT
Walking to School Human actions? Meanings, beliefs, values and practices? Identity as a member of a particular group?
In your groups: Each group will receive a book. Each group’s book can be related to a component of culture. Using the chart paper and markers provided, identify and give examples of how EACHcomponent of culture is at work in the book.
In your groups: Your task: Reading the book. Elect a reader. Record your group’s discussion on the chart paper. Elect a scribe. You may record your notes in point-form, graphic organizer, etc. Present to the class. Give a brief overview of the story and a summary of your group’s discussion. Elect a speaker.
