The Weatherization program works for Missourians!!!!! The Weatherization Assistance Program’s Mission is to reduce the energy burden on low-income residents by installing cost effective efficiency measures, while ensuring their health and safety.
The Weatherization program Reducing energy usage Increasing the energy efficiency of current housing Alleviating substandard living conditions and reducing homelessness Helps to Provide a safer, healthier living environment Extend the lifetime of affordable housing
Current service areas are based on the historic geographic boundaries of the State’s Community Action Agencies (CAA’s). This is because most of the Sub grantees are CAA’s and, as such, the boundaries are their operational boundaries and facilitates the client outreach process for each sub grantee.
Weatherization is a service that correctly identifies energy conservation measures that will provide the greatest chance to reduce energy consumption, maximize savings, and increase client comfort. It is also important that the selection of ECMs does not compromise the health and safety of the client.
As energy costs rise, the energy savings rises. What is EIA?

83 number of jobs was determined with the following assumptions 14% indirect rate, only 5% of budget being utilized as indirect (admin costs), 1 employee equalling $45,000 in costs for salary and benefits.
All visible fuel lines must be tested for fuel leaks both outdoors and indoors, starting at the meter or LP Tank. When problems are found we contact the local gas company or oil dealer to correct these problems. By finding these problems the weatherization program is having a positive impact on neighborhoods and community partners, (utilities). When a fuel supply line is found leaking and repaired, this is not just a health and safety issue, it will be a reduction for a need for energy assistance.
