1. Cástulo de la Rocha:
AltaMed Partners To Host
Free Citizenship
Workshop
2. AltaMed Health Services, the brainchild of
founder and CEO Cástulo de la Rocha,
partnered with another nonprofit, the Coalition
for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles
(CHIRLA), in order to offer a free citizenship
and waiver workshop to help immigrants
seeking naturalization. The workshop was held
on March 9 at the East Los Angeles PACE
Center.
3. With no registration required, the workshop was open to
the first 300 attendees, with services in both English and
Spanish. Attendees received fee waivers that allow them
to fill out and submit an application free of cost.
Participates will also gain access to a thorough review of
the naturalization process. Attendees were also able to
learn about the Healthy Families program, a health-care
service provided by AltaMed, and sign up for free health
insurance enrollment assistance. To learn more about
AltaMed and its health care services, visit
