1. Introduction
• Drawing is a geneeral term, whereas sketching is one of the technique inside the category of
drawing.
• Sketch is defined as a rapidly freehand drawing of a rough outline or a rough draft that usually does
not acts as final work.
• The beauty of things and simplivity can be conveyed through a simple black and white sketch.
• Sketching can be one's hobby as it is relaxing and entertaining as well as part of artistic
development.
• A sketch contains few purpose of designing.
• Sketching can be used in preparation for a large piece of art, or to just get an idea of how something
will look.
• There are different type of sketches such as pencil sketch, computer sketch, photo sketch and
portrait sketch.
• People usually use sketch to assist in their final drawing.
• Sketches plays an important role in the part of our thinking process and usually does not act as an
final product which is during presentation.
• As an art student, actractive sketching is a basic skill of it.
• Actractive Sketch is important in our daily life.
• With an actractivesketch we can gather others attention on our sketch and having expectations on
our final drawing.
• For architects, sketching is all about communication by expressing what is in their minds to other
people such as colleagues or among themselves.
• People will love to see and read attractive sketch rather than boring sketch. Though attractive
sketch, people will understand our sketch easily and interested in it.
• What should we do to produce a actractive sketch?
• There are few steps from the beginning of a sketch to the final drawing done.
The Observation
• Lately I have been working on a frying pan sketch and it was utterly and satifying.
• A frying pan is a utensil used in the kitchen for cooking such aas searing, frying and heating food.
• So, how does it taste?
• How does it look like?
• A frying ipan is tasteless.
• It has a different shapes for different types of pan.
• A frying pan has a flat bottom with short sides that are flared or sloped, which makes it easier to toss
and turn food with a spatula.
• A frying pan is odourless but some smell will be retained in the pan after cooking.
• I use my sense of touch in many ways each day to judge whether something is cooked the right
amount.
• This method can be used to judge when a dry frying pan is sufficiently hot for searing meat or
poultry.
• Hearing can be an important tool in the kitchen.
• When I place a steak in a hot frying pan, there is an initial sizzle from the juices near the surface
evaporating at the hot surface.
• If there isn’t sufficient space in the pan, the meat will boil in the liquid rather than brown.
• All of this makes different sounds.
The Drawing Tools needed
• If you wish to bring out an sketch, firstly you will have to gether all the right tools and materials that
might be used during the process of sketching.
• The quality of sketching produced is depends on the quality of the materials and tools.aterials and
tools that needed for sketching is pencil.
• A school pencil will give you a good medium shade line and a medium width of the line.
• If you want a darker pencil use a B pencil.
• The higher the number the darker the line. 6B is much lighter than 2B.
• If you want a really light line use an H pencil.
• The higher the number the lighter the line. 6H is much lighter than 2H.
• Most craft and art stores sell these pencils.
• The best drawings use many pencils.Keep your pencil point sharp.
• The sharper the point, the better you can draw.
2. • Sharpen it often as you draw. on the other hand, choose the type of paper to sketch on is also an
important steps of sketching.
• Using a fine art paper with a little bit of texture holds the paper will compared to regular printer paper
and makes the best apperance.
• We are human and we make mistakes.
• For the occassional screw up you should have a eraser on hand.
• It is is a kneaded rubber eraser.
• These eraser can be molded to whatever shape you need and erase pencil lines without scratching
the paper .
• I use my kneadable eraser all the time.
• The last thing you need is an area to create your art.
• This should be a space that's all your own, a place free from distractions.
• Surround your area with things that inspire you.
• Your space should be neat, organized, and inviting so it's easy to sit down and work on something.
Further sketching details
• Futhermore, sit in a good position and get comfortable with the paper to let you work much more
longer.
• To warm up, you can use small, fine lines with a pencil, quickly and lightly sketch the basic form of
the object you are trying to draw.
• Try to break it down to basic shapes or forms.
• Use circles, square, triangles and rectangles to represent the largest parts of the object.
• Pay special attention to relationships.
• When your hand is not that shaky, you can proceed to sketching by choosing a subject.
• It is easier to sketch from a live image rather than waiting your an image to appear using
imagination.
• Keep your paper clean by washing your hands. Always wash your handsbefore you start drawing.
• This prevents smudges and stains. If you get up to grab a snack, wash your hands again before
getting back to your drawing.
• Never rest any part of your hand on any part of your paper that has pencil on it. In other words never
rest your hand on your actual drawing. Try to keep your hand on the blank parts of the paper.
• This prevents blurring your lines. Before starting work, study the object and understand the shape.
Because every objects are made up of basic shape.
• Observe it from all angles and start sketching.
• Sketch is just a draft of an image.
• When you sketch, try no to draw heavily by using quick strokes and this allows us to earse our
mistake easily.
• Erase and redraw as needed until you are satisfied that your basic shapes look the way you want.
• The more time you take to make sure the forms are correctly drawn, the more -convincing and
impressive your drawing will be.
• No amount of detail will compensate for unintentional inaccuracies.
• Once you are done, you can begin the finish line-work.
• Go over with a fine tipped pen or sharp pencil and add details to the darker areas using solid lines.
• If you used pen, take an Kneaded eraser and erase all of the original fine lines you made with the
pencil.
• Good lighting is another steps that really helps in making our sketching to be more attreactive than
others.
• Find the sourse of light and it will also affect the effectivnesss of tones shading.
• Once you are satisfied with the drawing's form and outline, go over the drawing, adding small, wispy
lines to increase detail and to show light and shadow.
• From Oxford dictionary, the meaning of shading is the graded areas of tones or lines.
Conclusion
• I used 3 days to done my sketch.
• Because it is a feeling of love and enthusiasm for something, and in a direct, simple, passionate and
true way, I try to show this beauty in things to others, by sketching it.
• Sketching is always hard at first, but once you fall in love with it, you will always be enthusiastic to
sketch everything that interests you.
• According to the famous writer Stephen King, talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the
talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work. No one is born an artist, so do not
hesitate to try something new, perhaps the next Picasso is in the making!
