emerging European movements, and encourages and enables collabora,on between
researchers and CSOs in order to move toward realizing a Degrowth society.

• An Initiative of the Austrian Environment Ministry in cooperation with 15 partners
• Does economic growth solve our problems (such as unemployment, increasing
poverty or environmental pollution), or does it cause these problems?
• The conference deliberately tackles a broad range of topics in order to involve
as many different stakeholders as possible to trigger a wide public debate.
