3. Imagine your on holiday and had an accident, what
would do? It would be very hard to get an doctor or
ambulance because you don’t know the land line or
language. Even if it was something very small like a
fever it would be very nearly impossible to get a
prescription since you don’t where the nearest
chemist is. What if you are injured and don’t know
what the injury is?
5.
Key insight statements
The difference between our app and others is that during
an emergency it tells you the details of the nearest A and E.
For example: your on holiday and you broke your leg. You
don’t know any of the nearest A and E therefore you use
quick doc to call an ambulance and save your own life.

Ask md is an app which is also a symptom checker with
many causes that it can show to you. As well as that it
gives you the information of the nearest Dr that is
suitable to your condition. Therefore you can get a
quick consultation for that specific illness. It also gives
you information to give to your doctor. However our app
is better than this because it tells you the nearest
hospital for and it tells you how to cure the illness
yourself therefore there would be no need to book a
consultation. Therefore it tells you the nearest
pharmacy or chemist to deal with it.
9. “As a user I either want to find my
nearest hospital or check a diagnosis
for my symptoms.”
Our main feature of the app is a symptom
checker that lets you diagnose your symptoms
from the comfort of your home/holiday
destination.
13. At 99p, our app is at a good price considering that we offer a
calorie counter, a diagnose , hospital/GP finder and
international emergency numbers!
14.
We shall sell our app for the reasonable price of £0.99. Also we have
done a survey for our app and 27 out of 30 (90%) think it’s a
reasonable price for the app. Trying to get the app out will be a hurdle
but hopefully we can overcome it by giving 100% to get it on
newspapers and in train stations.
What is the background situation you are addressing? Describe the context users are experiencing.Example: Buzzer Buddiez: Who? Students What? Students are studying for exams When? 7am Where? Student dorm Why? Late night cramming, student likely to oversleep
What specific problem do people encounter in that situation? Use the results from your user researchExamples: Buzzer Buddiez: your alarm does not work and you are thus late for: school, work, exams, doctor etc Transit: Many parents don’t speak English and their children have to translate the feedback that a teacher provides. When the feedback is negative students mistranslate. Oyster on the Go: You don’t remember how much money you have left on your pay-as-you-go Oyster card and run out of credit when you urgently need to get on a train Cattle Manager: You need to run backwards and forwards between the office and your cows, taking notes on paper and wasting time or loosing notes
What core question are you addressing with the app? Examples: Buzzer Buddiez: how can you avoid oversleeping? Transit: how can negative teacher feedback be translated accurately? Oyster on the Go: how can you be more aware of how much credit you still have on your Oyster card? Cattle Manager: how can you keep track of injections for your cows while you are out and about looking after them?
To introduce the judges to your team and the product, include your final min elevator pitch here.Example: - Buzzer Buddiez: Our team, [Buzzer Buddiez], is developing [a mobile app] to help [students] [who have studied late and are likely to oversleep because they hit snooze on their alarm clock] [to wake up on time with the help from friends and family]
