Venus is the second planet in our solar system and is known to be a very hot and dry planet with a dense carbon dioxide atmosphere. While smaller than Earth, Venus has a similar internal structure consisting of a crust, mantle, and core. The Greeks are believed to be among the first to discover Venus in the sky.
