Que as novas tecnologias vêm mudando a rotina no mercado de trabalho não é
novidade para ninguém. Mas o que pouca gente sabe é que algumas dessas
mudanças não estariam agradando muito os donos das empresas. O caso de
Fernando, um profissional de seguro, ilustra bem essa nova realidade dentro
das corporações. Contratado há menos de seis meses por uma grande
empresa do ramo, ele é um típico funcionário padrão. Sempre é o primeiro a
chegar e o último a deixar a empresa. Sabe como é, né!... O trabalho em
primeiro lugar! Mas lá no miudinho as coisas não são bem assim. Quase todo
dia, Fernando chega meia hora antes do horário de pegar serviço, mesmo
porque o expediente normal começa mesmo muito depois das oito. Apressado,
dá uma passadinha antes na padaria da esquina para fazer um lanche rápido.
Já no local de trabalho, liga o computador ouvindo Madonna no iPod novo que
comprou em seis parcelas. Antes de qualquer coisa, restaura o cache do seu
computador para acessar o histórico do dia anterior. Com cinco janelas
abertas, logo acessa a sua caixa de e-mails pessoais, depois passa pelo Orkut
para ver se tem novos scraps. Em seguida dá uma olhadinha para ver se tem
alguém interessante no chat de namoro. Aproveita o embalo e dá uma lidinha
no horóscopo do dia e, por último, verifica se há algum pedido de seguro no e-
mail da empresa. Depois de feito tudo isso, para variar, entra no MSN e bate-
papo com quem se aventura estar acordado a essa hora da manhã. Para
relaxar joga paciência, quando a galera do trabalho começa a chegar. Ao longo
do dia, trabalha, trabalha, mas com seis ou mais janelas abertas no
computador. Vez por outra, joga paciência para tentar fechar algum seguro
sem passar muita raiva. Tudo isso sem que o chefe perceba. Mas o que

Fernando não sabe é que o seu chefe é um cara bem esperto. Tem um
programinha que rastreia tudo que se passa na tela dos computadores dos
funcionários. Sem informação privilegiada, Fernando mal sabe que está na
próxima lista de demitidos da empresa. Mas, na perspectiva da cultura digital,
isso se configura como um dos maiores erros estratégicos que as empresas
podem cometer com o seu cast de profissionais. Afinal, uma das características
da Cibercultura é justamente misturar trabalho e diversão. Portanto, os
funcionários, principalmente de empresas ligadas ao setor de serviço, podem
render muito mais se tal premissa for colocada em prática pelas empresas.
Prova disso está no livro Homo Ludens, de Johan Huizinga. Segundo ele, “o
homem que brinca (ludens) não substitui o homem que trabalha (faber) ou que
raciocina (sapiens), apenas define de forma mais completa o ser humano, já
que para pensar racionalmente e trabalhar, o homem precisa construir jogos ou
relações lúdicas com a vida”. E esse é um dos pilares da Teoria do
NewsGames, segundo a qual, devemos promover um elo de ligação entre a
razão pura e a razão lúdica, a bem do desenvolvimento cognitivo do homem
atual. Fora isso, muitos de nossos melhores gênios ainda ficarão muito
distantes da aventura cognitiva do homem pós-humano. Mas os pessimistas
podem dizer que a crise financeira nos levou à estaca zero e que deveríamos
seguir a velha e desgastada cartilha das empresas. Nada disso! Foi brincando
que o homem das cavernas descobriu o fogo, tecnologia sem a qual não
teríamos sobrevivido até aqui. Mas que ninguém se iluda: trabalho sem
diversão é um porre!
