Seeds for Needs is a Bioversity International project that identifies crop varieties likely to perform well under future climatic conditions. Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), it serves as a matchmaker for farmers to find suitable crops for evolving conditions. The project was named a winner in the World Bank’s Development Marketplace 2009 competition.
