The consultation took place during the Africa Preparatory Meeting for the Global Geospatial Information Management held in Addis Ababa at UNCC, UNECA from 8 to 10 August 2001. The meeting also recommended to member States, ECA and AUC to finalise and implement the African Action Plan on Geospatial Information Management.
CODIST The role of CODIST is to review challenges and issues pertaining to the ICT, Science Technology and Innovation (STI), Geo-Information as well as Libraries and Information Services sectors; formulate policies and strategies to address Africa’s development challenges; and determine priorities to be reflected in the work programme of the ICT, Science and Technology Division of ECA.
