The Inquisition strike and Don Lardo loses again

4. • The Grand Master announces a heretic hunt

5. • And where better to start than with Sadie’s Ladies

6. • Five girls cannot recite the Mass and are dragged off

7. • Ms Sadie appeals to Governor Don Lardo, but without success

8. • Which leaves only one alternative

9. • The Barracuda cannot refuse her sister

10. • Meanwhile the Inquisitors amuse themselves

11. • Execution day – Donna Quibab, the Governor’s
Lady, heads up-country in protest

12. While in the Plaza de Castro the pyre awaits

13. • The Sisters of Mercy give the last rites

14. While Donna Quibab meets ‘the pirettes’

15. • The women will be thrown in one by one

16. • Donna Quibab’s coach arrives in the square

17. While in the fort every eye is on the square

18. • While beyond the eastern wall…..

19. • And they are not alone!

20. • Meanwhile Donna Quibab is held at pistol point

21. • The reserve squad moves to rescue her

22. • And is stopped dead

23. • With his fort and wife suddenly in enemy hands Don Lardo is
impotent

24. • He must stand by as both his victims and his Inquisitors are hurried off
into the fort

25. • Then negotiate with his enemy for his wife while his bonfire
blazes and the watching crowd cheers

26. Back at the palace his gout has come back and he is forced to ponder
how to explain losing an Inquisition - without looking careless

27. While out to sea - the Grand Master contemplates the
unfairness of it all
