Abstract:

selected by the Library that may be

through the relevant section. Not
appear in the catalog because they
are not owned by the Library.

17. What is the difference between catalog /
database?
The catalogs collect a particular library collection,
indicating the location to which we can go and get it
or order it.
The databases only report the existence of the
document, not where you are. But many references
include the full text link.

20. Mezquita Catalog, Databases, eJournals, eBook,
free web Resources
Mezquita Catalog includes materials acquired by the UCO and are their property .
Includes:
Books , videos , work documents , ...
Paper journals , statistics, thesis , ...
Internet-accessible electronic resources which are our property (databases ,
journals and e-books, ... ) .
When you do a search will give you all the possibilities.
Databases can find them in their own section , for ease of reference and, above all ,
because each has a different query software that loses functionality when
integrated into the catalog ( personalized access , alerts , RSS , ... ) . Access only
allows users recognized by the institution.
The option eJournals and eBooks , is similar in terms of consultation and access to
the databases . They also have their own sections.
Internet Resources .
Free Web Resources selection of academic interest. They are not our property , are
unstable and have no rights over them. Therefore not appear in the catalog will be
available only from its own section .
