2. Sender A person relaying a message. Responsible for success or failure of the message given. Controls how the message is given.
3. Encoding Sender wants the audience to understand the message that is given. He/She has to be sensitive to the receiver’s background.
4. Message Information that is given through Communication. What the sender wants the audience to know.
5. Channel The Sender selects a medium to transmit the message. Transmitted through sight, sound, touch, taste or smell. The medium affect how the message with be understood.
6. Receiver The audience the message is intended to reach. Receiver is responsible for listening and feedback.
7. Decoding The power to translate the message so the audience can understand. The receiver and sender have different backgrounds. Some of the audience will not get full understand.
8. Feedback It tells the sender how successful he/she delivered the message. The receiver response to the sender.
9. Noise Anything that distort the communication process. This includes a cough, attitude or anything that would disrupt communication.
10. Successful Communication Effective communication depends on incorporating all parts of this process. Helps promote healthy communication.
