From 1993 to 1999, I worked a variety of jobs, listed here, in order to maintain my professional credentials,
work close to Greencastle, support and raise my children who were small, and recover from the death of my
first husband. In each of the jobs my work was valued. These jobs overlapped, and I include them to explain
the breadth of my experience.

emergency calling.
10/98-5/01 Facilitator, Teen Time Program, Putnam County Family Support Services. Leading
a weekly support group for grieving middle school students at Greencastle Middle School.

8/97-4/99 Supervisor, Healthy Families Program, Putnam County Family Support Services,
supervising 5 full-time employees who provide home visiting services to parents of newborn through age
five children, aimed at the prevention of child abuse and the promotion of healthy attachment and
appropriate developmental expectations. Left to work at St. Vincent's Hospital.
8/96-8/98 Kids' Time Program Leader, Putnam County Family Support Services. Leading a
twice weekly support group for third grade students at Cloverdale Elementary School, specifically students
with special needs for support due to difficult family circumstances, emotionally handicapping conditions
and behavior problems. Left to work at St. Vincent's Hospital.
8/96-8/97 Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinator, Putnam County Family Support
Services. Coordinating programming in support of victims of domestic violence, including training and
supervising volunteers, providing actual support to victims, including advocacy within the court system. Left
to become Supervisor in the Healthy Families Program.
6/96-8/96 Clinical Educator, ACTS Urban Clinical Pastoral Education Program, Chicago, IL.
Supervising summer semester student ministers at the AIDS Pastoral Care Network, the Kovler Center for
International Victims of Torture, the Cook County Jail, the Night Street Ministry, Interfaith House for
victims surviving traumatic injury and loss, Cook County Hospital AIDS Clinic. Helping clergy and qualified
lay persons develop ministry skills, integrate their faith with their practice of caring for others in crisis, and
learn to acknowledge and use (or work around) their gifts and limitations for ministry. This was a summer
education position.
8/94-1/96 Training Supervisor, Clinical Pastoral Education, Anderson Commission for
Pastoral Education, c/o Christian Counseling Center, 501 College Drive, Anderson, IN.
Teaching seminary students and community clergy crisis intervention, pastoral care, counseling and other
ministry skills. Students ministered in a variety of settings: small community hospitals, nursing homes, large
and small parish settings, jails, funeral homes, counseling centers. Left to work at St. Vincent's Hospital.
12/93-8/95 Executive Director, Putnam County Mental Health Association, Greencastle, IN.
Responsible for running court-mandated "Helping Children Through the Divorce" for divorcing parents
with children under the age of eighteen; Putnam County Access House for Supervised Visitation between
parents without custody and their children; The Social Club--a drop in center for chronically and severely
mentally ill adults; Clothe-A-Child program, which purchased new, well-fitting clothing for children
referred by school personnel; Coats for Kids, which collected used coats, cleaned and mended them, and
distributed them to county children during one day in the fall; Christmas Gift Lift, which purchased holiday
gifts for nursing home residents without family; and sundry other programs.
6/93-8/95 Teacher, Putnam County Court Substance Abuse Treatment Program. Teaching all
people convicted of alcohol or other drug-related misdemeanors twelve hours per month. (also 5/99-7/99)

Leading a twice weekly support group for third grade students at Cloverdale Elementary School, specifically students with special needs for support due to difficult family circumstances, emotionally handicapping conditions and behavior problems.
