Contractual:
Is a term that is used to describe the way employers or employees have agreed with signing
a written contract for both parties. It has to be a formal meeting face to face where both
have to officially decide whether or not to sign a written contract. If both agree then there
are laws put into place in which they both have to adhere to in order to make the contract
official where this includes things within the Terms and Conditions such as, Costs etc. In
addition to this, the contract may be drawn up by solicitors who represent certain
companies in relation to clients who are working within a media organisation. In relation to
the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would have to make an official
agreement between the client of a media company and the creator of the media product
which is myself.

partiesin relation to the XYZ Performing Arts Company where the Secretary and Consultant are
putting together a written agreement that clarifies how they are going to go about signing a
written contract agreement where they will be legislation put into place as well.

Negotiated:
Is where an employer and employee try to reach an agreement or settlement by having
discussions with others members of an organisation. For instance, the government
willingness to negotiate with other members of parliament. It can also involve the
obtainment of a contract in which has been discussed with the sellers so that they can be
authorised in return for the value of goods received. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle
and Marple Sixth Form College) I would also have to negotiate the agreement of a contract
for job vacancies with tutors and the careers team in order to apply for certain areas within
employment.
Thissnipshot showshowthe Group Alliance negotiatesbusinessinrelationto their work or a
certainmediaproductinwhich the contract that has beenobtainedwill have been discussed
with the sellers so that it can be accredited in return for the value of the goods. It can also
involve the use of annotations which can be obtained via a PC as a quicker and easier route
towards documenting everything that has been talked about within the negotiation.

Formal:
The terminology behind `Formal` is where you officially and lawfully carry out business
proceedings so that it makes it easier for the client to read and be able to produce the
media product more quickly and efficiently. The formal brief gets straight to the point and
doesn’t include unnecessary detail or information. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and
Marple Sixth Form College) I would have to have a face to face discussion about the main
aspects of a media product whether it is altering the original intentions or expanding on
ideas for the product.
See illustration below…..
Thisscreenshotshows how website builders
carry out a contract negotiation in terms of
how they are going to gain authority or
ownership for a website where this will also
follow the same procedures as explained
within the previous annotation above.

withinthe ZAMBIA Company where this will include official and lawful proceedings in order to
make it easier for the client to read so that the writer can stand a chance of getting a job there
because if there are any types of spelling and punctuation errors they will immediately discard
the formal letter.

(Task 2-Client Brief Report)
Informal:
Can be an informal agreement that has been unofficially made between two parties of a
media company whether it is face to face in person or a document such as, a letter can
involve light-hearted and relaxed tones that makes it informal. In relation to the CAMSFC
(Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would be having face to face discussions with my
tutors about work or anything related and I would be having drop in sessions in order to
catch up with any of the work as well.
This snap shot shows how informal discussions are carried out within a media organisation or a
company where the agreement has been made unlawfully between two parties face to face or
within a document.

Commission:
Is where someone is paying you for your own work ethic for creating a product for any
services you may provide where this can be known as `Remuneration”. An example of such
as project that you are paid for would be to produce a website or something related to a
media product for a business. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form
College) the college itself would be paying students for the produce potential media
products materials as part of their own experience in learning how to deal with completing
any tasks related in order to get paid. Many parties maybe involved in the earlier stages
before going ahead with any venture and the best would be nominated and given the
commission.

Tender:
Is where a written offer has been applied towards the contract for goods or services at a
stated cost, rate or bid. It can also describe and explain how money or services are being
offered in order to meet an obligation for a media company. In relation to the CAMSFC
(Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would have to write up a possible offer for a
media product where I am obliged to do certain things in order to try and sell the product.
The screenshotandimagesabove showsanexample of awebsite thathasbeencommissionedby

the charity companies that have been registered through the Charity Commission website.

Co-operative Brief:
Is a brief that is formed as an enterprise or organisation in which it is jointly authorised or
managed by those who makes use of the facilities and services. It can be also be marked by
the willingness to cooperate with other members of staff within a media organisation as
well. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would have to
cooperate with other members within the ICT department in order to utilise the new ideas
for my digital video project.

Competition:
The term `competition` is where creators of the media products compete in order to
produce the best results as possible for their target customers. It can also be used to
describe and explain how producers of a media product go about making better media
products in comparison to another one. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple
Sixth Form College) I as the creator of a particular media product such as, animation would
have to ensure that it is more than up to standard in order to compete with other creators
of a media product.

In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I as the creator of a particular media product such as, animation would have to ensure that it is more than up to standard in order to compete with other creators of a media product.
