9. ADMISSION DECISIONS
• Based on “Numbers”
• No teacher recommendations required
• Essays, if any, are minimal
• With IB Diploma
• In Australia, admissions decisions are based on your predicted or final
IB scores
• IB scores are converted into an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission
Rank) or other equivalent
• ISM can send your transcript and predicted IB scores
• You must send your final IB scores to the university
• Without IB Diploma
• Some programs will allow direct entry with high GPA and SATs
• Foundation year probably required
• Need SAT scores
