The NBAA Static Display team held a site visit at Showalter on February
29th for the upcoming NBAA Convention (October 30-November 1, 2012).
The look of the Static Display has changed greatly over the last 3 years as
the exhibiting aircraft manufacturers have entered into a game of one-
upmanship trying to have the biggest and best display. As an example,

The EAA’s Ford Tri Motor (pictured below) will be
at Showalter Flying Service From April 19-22,
2012. If you would like to volunteer or need
additional information, please contact,
Lodi’s Lowdown
Jim Thomas at 407-733-6363.
Lodi’s Lowdown for the month of January was correctly answered by Nicholas
Musashe and Wendy Gorham. In 1964 President Lyndon Johnson publicly
acknowledged the existence of the Lockheed A-12 Mach 3+ spy plane pro-
gram and incorrectly showed a picture of a YF-12A. Thanks for answering!
The question for March is:
The EAA’s Ford Tri Motor served as the primary setting in what 1960’s
film? Name the comedian who starred in the movie?
Please email your answers to jenny@showalter.com.
