Case Study
The decision to migrate to SAP HANA was preceded by the Proof-of-Concept project, during which BCC tested HANA operation
on real data of Sokołów. Tests showed at least a ten-fold acceleration of the system.
Sokołów decided to migrate both SAP BW and SAP ERP to SAP HANA. The migration covered all transactional and analytical
processes supported by SAP applications as well as the process integration area in conjunction with the employee portal.

6. Sokołów SA:
Benefits
After migration to SAP HANA, the speed of transaction
execution in SAP ERP increased 10 times.
In the SAP BW data warehouse, the speed of data
loading and planning increased 10 times, and of
reporting from SAP BW over 100 times.
Generating reports directly from SAP ERP, where the
performance increased 1000 times, is even faster.
Dramatic increase in performance of BW and business
applications was accompanied by an equally significant
simplification and reduction of the total costs of the IT
infrastructure maintenance.
The previous database stored about 2.5TB of data and after
the migration to SAP HANA it compressed to less than 600GB.
At the same time direct reporting from SAP HANA was
introduced, which eliminated the need to create cluster table
indexes.
