This document provides a storyboard for a movie trailer consisting of 9 shots. Shot 1 shows a victim peeking through curtains as the killer appears behind her. Shot 2 shows the killer holding his weapon, implying he is chasing the victims. Shot 3 shows victims talking, with fake blood suggesting the killer already attacked one. Future shots include the victims running down stairs, being held captive by the killer in a dark room, working together to escape, peering through a door, and hiding from the killer under something. The final shot provides a close-up of the killer's face. The order of shots may change during editing.
2. IMPORTANT NOTE THESE SHOTS ARE NOT IN ORDER, THEY WILL CHANGE WHEN WE START EDITING OUR MOVIE TRAILER ON IMOVIE.
3. SHOT 1 THE 1ST SHOT IS OF THE VICTIM PEEKING THROUGHSOME CURTAINS TO MAKE SURE THE PROTAGONIST KILLER IS NOT ANYWHERE TO BE SEEN, BUT AS SHE STARTS MOVING THE CURTAIN EVEN MORE THE KILLER SUDDENLY APPEARS BEHIND HER, BUT OFCOURSE SHE DOESNT REALIZE THIS [YET]. THIS GIVES A SCARY EFFECT AS IT WILL LEAVE THE AUDIENCE THINKING WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN NEXT.
4. SHOT 2 THE 2ND SHOT WILL BE A LONG FULL BODY SHOT OF THE PROTAGONIST KILLER HOLDING HIS WEAPON ON HIS HAND THAT HE USES TO KILL HIS VICTIM. WE SHOT MAY BE USED AFTER THE CHILDREN RUN DOWN THE STAIRS TO ESCAPE BUT WE WANT TO SHOW THAT THE KILLER IS AWARE OF WHAT JUST HAPPENED AND THIS GIVES AN ILLUSION THAT HE IS RIGHT BEHIND THEM.
5. SHOT 3 THE 3RD SHOT WILL BE OF A MID CLOSE UP SHOT OF THE VICTIMS TALKING TO EACHOTHER. WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE VOICE ARE LOUD AND CLEAR, AS THIS WILL BE SOME DIALOGUE THAT CAN BE USED IN THE TRAILER. FOR THIS WE MAY ADD SOME FAKE BLOOD TO ONE OF THE VICTIMS TO SHOW THAT THE PROTAGONIST KILLER ALREADY ATTEMPTED TO PLAY ONE OF HIS DANGEROUS GAMES WITH THE CHILD.
6. SHOT 4 FOR THE 4th SHOT WE WANTED A TWO-SHOT ANGLE OF THE VICTIMS AS THEY ARE RUNNING DOWN THE STAIRS OF THE MYSTERIOUS HOUSE TRYING TO ESCAPE. TO DO THIS WE WILL HAVE TO DO A PANNING SHOT. WE MAY ALSO GET THE CHARACTERS TO BREATHE LOUSLY TO CREATE A SENSE OF REALISM AND TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE SCARED.
7. SHOT 5 THE 5TH SHOT WILL BE A MID-SHOT OF BOTH THE PROTAGONISTS. IN THIS SHOT WE WANT TO SHOW THAT THE KILLER FORCEFULLY HANDLES ITS VICTIME AND KEEPS THEM CAPTIVE IN A DARK ROOM. THE VICTIM WOULD HAVE A TERRIFIED LOOK ON THEIR FACE AS THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN TO THEM NEXT. WE MAY SLOW DOWN THE FOOTAGE WHEN IT SHOWS THE VICTIMS FACE SO THE AUDIENCE CAN SYMPATHIZE WITH THE CHARACTER.
8. SHOT 6 THIS SHOT WILL BE OF THE VICTIMS WORKING TOGETHER RUNNING AWAY TO ESCAPE FROM THE PROTAGONIST KILLER. WE HOPE TO GET IN SOME REALISTIC SOUND WHILST TAKING THIS SHOT E.G. SQUEAKY DOOR AND HEAVY BREATHING OF THE CHILDREN TO CREATE AN EERIE ATMOSPHERE. THIS GETS THE AUDIENCE TO START PREPARING FOR WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN NEXT AND IF THE VICTIMS WILL GET OUT SAFE.
9. SHOT 7 SHOT ‘7’ IS GOING TO BE A MID-SHOT OF THE VICTIMS PEEPING THROUGH THE ROOM DOOR THAT THEY WERE LOCKED IN. THIS SHOT IS CAUSE THE VICTIMS WANT TO GET OUT SO THERE ARE LOOKING IF ITS SAFE ON THE OTHER SIDE.
10. SHOT 8 SHOT ‘8’ WILL SHOW THE VICTIMS HIDING FROM THE KILLER UNDERNEATH SOMETHING. WE WANT THIS SHOT TO INDICATE A TYPE OF AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER THEY GO THROUGH AND HOW THEY TRY AND OVERCOME THEIR FEARS. THIS WILL BE A LOW MID-SHOT OF THE 2 VICTIMS. THE SURROUNDING WILL BE DARK SO IT CREATES A EERIE ATMOSPHERE.
11. SHOT 9 SHOT ‘9’ IS A MID-SHOT OF THE PROTAGONIST KILLER. HERE WE JUST WANT THE AUDIENCE TO ANALYSE THE KILLERS FACE AND REMEMBER IT. IN THIS WE MIGHT ALSO ZOOM UP INTO THE KILLER SO THE AUDIENCE CAN GET A CLOSE UP.
12. IMPORTANT NOTE DURING SHOOTING FOR ‘31.10.10’, SOME SHOTS MAY CHANGE DEPENDING IF WE ARE ABLE TO DO THEM OR WE THINK UP OF SOMETHING NEW.
