WORKS PHASE NOTES
The Undertakers apparatus shown on this drawing is based on returns received
during the preliminary C2 enquiries and any necessary diversionary works. It
provides information regarding the general position and nature of apparatus.
Where trial holes or other investigations have been carried out the additional
survey information is also shown.
The accuracy and completeness of Undertakers Information shall be confirmed
independently by the Principal Contractor prior to the start of the Works.
Proposals to manage the hazard associated with working adjacent to the
Undertakers apparatus shall be clearly identified in the Principal Contractors
Risk and Method Statements.
Prior to the start of the Works the Principal Contractor shall contact the relevant
Undertakers if needed to obtain guidance and safe working procedures around
their plant if affected by the works. This information is to then be incorporated
into Method Statements/ Risk Assessments and the Construction Phase Plan.
If any unclassified or unexpected Undertakers plant is uncovered during the
Works the Works shall be suspended immediately and the Overseeing
Organisation informed.
This drawing shall be printed and read at full scale (A1/ A0).

2. DIMENSIONS AND LEVELS
All dimensions given are in millimetres unless otherwise
stated. All levels are in metres above Ordnance Datum.
Do not scale from this drawing. The Contractor shall confirm
any setting out or survey information with the Overseeing
Organisation prior to commencing Works on site.
3. CONCRETE REPAIRS
Once exposed, the surface of the deck shall be inspected
and any repairs required agreed with the Principal
Contractor (Supervisor). Any areas for repair shall be
surveyed and a record made of the extent of repairs for
inclusion in the as-built records for the scheme.
All methods and materials for concrete repairs shall be in
accordance with Appendix 17/4 of the Specification.
(For the purposes of Pricing an areas equivalent to 15% of
the total area of the deck shall be assumed, together with a
maximum repair depth of 100mm).
4. WATERPROOFING
The preparation, application and testing of the waterproofing
membrane shall be in accordance with the requirements of
Appendix 20/1 and the manufacturers recommendations
(and associated Agreement Certificate).

CONCRETE REPAIR
4. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this project the Overseeing Organisation's
Representative is defined as EM Delivery Manager for the
scheme.
5. CONCRETE REPAIR
The preparation and repair of existing Structural Members shall
be in accordance with Appendix 17/4, and Specification AR
Clauses 1770 to 1773.
The extent of concrete repairs shall be agreed with the
Overseeing Organisation's Representative prior to undertaking
subsequent works.
Sub-Contractor should undertake concrete delamination survey
to confirm extent of concrete repair prior to works commencing.
Sub-Contractor shall saw cut to a depth of 15mm the outer
perimeter of all repair areas.
Sub-Contractor shall take care not to damage reinforcing steel
during concrete removal and saw cutting operation.
For the purposes of pricing the extent of concrete repair is as
shown on drawing.
6. CONCRETE FINISHES
Concrete finishes shall be in accordance with the Appendix 17/3
of the Specification:
Class U3 - exposed unformed surfaces;
Class F3 - exposed formed surfaces.
7. ACCESS
Access to the site shall be gained from the access points
indicated on the location plan (see drawing No.
3/1120059/DR/000/001). Works to Network Rail area (zone D &
B as shown on drawing No. 3/1120059/DR/100/001). Shall be
undertaken during a controlled site possession.
8. TEMPORARY WORKS
Temporary works required for access to repair areas shall be
established by Specialist Sub-Conctractor in accordance with
Appendix 11/1.
9. Any damage caused by the Sub-Contractor to part of the
structure not intended for repair, shall be repaired by the
Sub-Contractor to the satisfaction of the Overseeing
Organisation.

2. DIMENSION AND LEVELS

Do not scale from this drawing. The Contractor shall confirm any
setting out of survey information with the Overseeing
Organisation prior to commencing works on site.
3. SETTING OUT / LEVEL CONTROL
Before commencing site clearance operations Sub-Contractor
should undertake a survey to ensure that adequate control of
alignments and levels can be established for subsequent
operations (concrete repair works).
NOTE: ALL CONCRETE REPAIR TO BE LIMITED TO 1.00m
WIDE AT ANY ONE TIME TO ANY REPAIR AREA, ALLOWING
FOR SUFFICIENT CURING TIME BETWEEN BREAKOUT.

4. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this project the Overseeing Organisation's
Representative is defined as EM Delivery Manager for the
scheme.
5. CONCRETE REPAIR
The preparation and repair of existing Structural Members shall
be in accordance with Appendix 17/4, and Specification AR
Clauses 1770 to 1773.
The extent of concrete repairs shall be agreed with the
Overseeing Organisation's Representative prior to undertaking
subsequent works.
Sub-Contractor should undertake concrete delamination survey
to confirm extent of concrete repair prior to works commencing.
Sub-Contractor shall saw cut to a depth of 15mm the outer
perimeter of all repair areas.
Sub-Contractor shall take care not to damage reinforcing steel
during concrete removal and saw cutting operation.
For the purposes of pricing the extent of concrete repair is as
shown on drawing.
6. CONCRETE FINISHES
Concrete finishes shall be in accordance with the Appendix 17/3
of the Specification:
Class U3 - exposed unformed surfaces;
Class F3 - exposed formed surfaces.
7. ACCESS
Access to the site shall be gained from the access points
indicated on the location plan (see drawing No.
3/1120059/DR/000/001). Works to Network Rail area (zone D &
B as shown on drawing No. 3/1120059/DR/100/001). Shall be
undertaken during a controlled site possession.
8. TEMPORARY WORKS
Temporary works required for access to repair areas shall be
established by Specialist Sub-Conctractor in accordance with
Appendix 11/1.
9. Any damage caused by the Sub-Contractor to part of the
structure not intended for repair, shall be repaired by the
Sub-Contractor to the satisfaction of the Overseeing
Organisation.
