What is theme ?
A theme is a set of design elements you can apply to slides

 Colors: Four colors to use for text or backgrounds and six
accent colors.
 Fonts: A heading font and a regular text font.
 Background styles: Background colors and effects such as
patterns or gradient fills.
 Design effects: A set of elements such as bullet and line
styles.
2

present each slide, and then use the recorded times to
advance the slides automatically when you give your
presentation to your actual audience.

17
Slide Transitions
Slide transitions are the animation-like effects that occur in
Slide Show view when you move from one slide to the next
during an on-screen presentation. You can control the
speed of each slide transition effect, and you can also add
sound.
18
Choose from a gallery of
slide transitions
 Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 includes many different
types of slide transitions, including (but not limited to) the
following:
19
1. No transition 2. Blinds Horizontal 3. Blinds Vertical
4. Box In 5.Box Out 6.Checkerboard Across
7. Checkerboard Down 8. Comb Horizontal 9. Comb Vertical
Add the same slide transition to all
of the slides in your presentation
1.On the left side of the slide window, in the pane that contains the Outline and Slides
tabs, click the Slides tab.
2.Select the slide thumbnails of the slides that you want to apply slide transitions to.

 To add a different slide transition to another slide in your presentation,
repeat steps 2 through 4.
21
Custom Animation
 Custom Animation deals with putting your bullet points
up on the screen one at a time, and how they enter.
They can just appear, fly in from the side or bottom, etc.
They don't necessarily add to the content of the
presentation, but rather simply make the presentation a
little more interesting to view, thus better keeping the
attention of your audience.
22
Insert Music and Sound from
Files
 Sound or music files can be saved on your computer in many
formats that can be used in PowerPoint 2007, such as MP3 or WAV
files. You can add these types of sound files onto any slide in your
presentation. However, only WAV type sound files can be
embedded into your presentation. To insert sound follow the
below steps -
1. Click on the Insert tab of the ribbon.
2. Click the drop down arrow under the Sound icon on the right
side of the ribbon.
