2. What is
Snapchat?
Snapchat is a new way to take
pictures or videos over your
cellular device and send them
to friends or family at intervals
of 1 to 10 seconds.
A set time of 1 to 10 seconds is
picked for the viewing time
and after the time is up the
picture ‘vanishes’.
The snapper can also draw on
the picture and add a short
text.

3. The Creation of Snapchat
Snapchat was created by two Stanford University students by the names of Evan Spiegel and
Bobby Murphy.
When presented in front of his graphics class, Spiegel was made fun of at the idea of ‘Snapchat’
and impermanent photos.
Spiegel also created a Snapchat for users under 13 called ‘Snapkidz” where kids could take and
draw on pictures but not send them to others.

Editor's Notes
To take a snap you must press the large red circle at the bottom of the screen for how long you want to take a video for or just press it once to take a snap. Then you can select one or multiple people who you are ‘friends’ with on your screen to send it to.The reason the little ghost is used as the symbol of Snapchat is because the picture that is sent ‘vanishes’ like a ghost. ********YOUTUBE VIDEO ON HOW TO USE SNAPCHAT ON PICTURE*****
"GhostfaceChillah", a name derived from GhostfaceKillah of the hip hop group Wu Tang Clan was given to the ghost (symbol of snapchat) by Spiegel.A lawsuit was pressed against Spiegel by his former classmate Frank Reginald Brown in February 2013 saying that he was the true creator of the idea of ‘Snapchat’ and is still under wraps.*****PLAY VIDEO OF SPIEGEL TALKING ABOUT HOW ANDROID IS RISING******
