3. WP 4 - Overall Description
Ob1- Plan, organize and execute workshops and knowledge sharing
events in INRAA in order to:
I) intensively train the Staff of the INRAA on issues concerning FP7
to become familiar with the procedures and opportunities for
cooperation in Water and agrifood Research and related EU
programs, People (ITN, IRSES, IIF), Cooperation
(KBBE, Environment), ENPI;
II / support the INRAA staff in forming future project consortia to
address relevant research challenges of importance in the next
calls for proposals for water and agrifood, taking into account
SMEs priorities collected in WP3.
Obj 2- Strengthen research instruments. For this reason, WP4
foreseen the transfer knowledge to INRAA for installing an
innovative agrifood and water laboratory.

Coaching sessions
REDINN will constantly help INRAA during the whole duration of
the project in everything is related to capacity building and that is
linked to the strengthening of research’s instruments of the
Algerian research center (Coaching sessions and support to
researchers).
8. Task 4.2 - Brokerage events for definition of
project ideas and drafting project concept

Objectives
This task will be aimed at analysing and sharing the
opportunities available in the agrifood, water and related
sectors and will provide 3 brokerage events to identify
needs, orientations and capabilities
The Brokerage Events provided in this task will collect
different concept ideas and needs from SMEs, Public
Administrations and Universities (and Research Centres).

9. Task 4.3 - Coaching sessions on proposal making
and project management

Objectives
This task will provide tutoring and coaching activities for
INRAA staff. REDINN will be responsible for individual
assistance and coaching, in one-to-one sessions to the
specific INRAA department and researchers either to shape
them for being attractive to competitive future project
consortia or to be able to aggregate other partners around
project ideas they could coordinate.
10. Task 4.4 - Setting up an Food, Agriculture and
Water lab at INRAA

Objectives
Assessment of the installation of an innovative chemical and
biological laboratory. The laboratory will be intended for
research activities on water treatment and reuse
technologies, food product characterisation and food
microbiology (€ 40.000,00).
An analysis of the existing structures will be performed
together with the analysis of available funds (D4.6). A total
amount of € 8.050,00 is foreseen to permit INRAA to
subcontract individual experts that will assist INRAA staff to
correctly set up the laboratory.
11. Task 4.5 - Technological training for INRAA staff

UNIPI
Objectives
Training activities will be carried out under the supervision of
CENTA and UNIPI. One one-week courses will be organized during
the 13th month in Algeria during laboratory setting up.
A technological training programm will be organised for INRAA staff
in Algeria. Experts (academics and industrial experts) will be
subcontracted to give theoretical and practical training sessions.
Based on the researchers needs collected in WP5 the INRAA staff
will have the opportunity to interact with the training experts and
pose potential doubts and questions.
12. Task 4.6 - Study trips to Food, Agriculture and
Water laboratories in Spain

CENTA
Objectives
A maximum of 10 trips to Spain will be organised for INRAA
researchers to do a placement of 1 month at CENTA (1
researcher per trip). INRAA researchers will expose potential
questions and discuss with the staff about innovation in the
food and water sector.
All the visits will be concluded with a summary placement
report (D4.9). At the end of the study trips researchers will
start working on a FP7 proposal writing. Those research
groups that accomplish with the submission of an FP7
proposal will receive a financial bonus – a VOUCHER - of
1,000€ for the proposal preparation. 10 vouchers are
foreseen (D4.10).
