         Food is one of the basic necessities of a living
           being. There are countless numbers of food
               people are accustomed to eating, but
                    which one these foods provide great
                   amount of nutrients for our body?
                    What are healthy foods that give us
                       the energy to go on with our daily
                         tasks? How do you recognize a healthy
                        food? Out of the hundreds and millions
                       of different food, there are only a few
                     that can be acknowledged as the
                    healthiest foods. However, it doesn’t
                   mean that foods that are not on this
                  article’s list are not at all healthy. They can
                be healthy, but they may not have all the
            criteria to be on the list of the healthiest foods
         on the planet.

   It doesn’t mean that since a
    kabocha is a vegetable, it is
already categorized as being one
 of the healthiest foods. Before
we go on with the two healthiest
  foods in the world, let us first
      identify the nature and
 characteristics that a particular
  food must have in order to be
  considered as one of the best
           healthy food.

It must be impregnated with vitamins and
nutrients that are essential to a body’s daily
needs. It must supply optimal health to
one’s body and mind. Some foods such as
processed and fried foods, salad dressings,
and artificial sweeteners are high in calories
rather than nutrients. These foods must be
avoided. And although animal fats and
vegetable oils are recommended in
the food pyramid, they also
belonged to foods that are high
 in calories; therefore, they
cannot be considered as
one of the healthiest foods.

        It must be organically grown. What are healthy foods that are
            classified as organic? These foods are also what we call
         “wholesome foods”. Organically grown foods do not contain
          artificial and chemically-based ingredients. These foods are
          grown without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides that may
           cause hazard on one’s health; moreover, it helps save our
                                  environment.

   It must be affordable and
    available in your locality.
 Lettuce carries a lot of health
     benefits, but since it is
 unavailable in most countries
and is also a bit expensive, it is
considered to be on the list of
  the healthiest foods in the
             world.

Different countries have different choices of
healthiest foods.



                                                   Different persons have different
                                                  bodies and are living in different
                                                circumstances. Some countries have
                                                  their own specific food that they
                                                   consider as the healthiest foods
                                                based on their bodies and situation.
                                                 Say, kimchi is the healthiest food in
                                                 Korea, soy in Japan, lentils in India,
                                                         and yogurt in Greece.

 Having known the qualifications of what are healthy foods, here are the two categories of
foods that are considered to be healthiest of them all. As mentioned earlier, just because a
particular food is a vegetable, it doesn’t mean that it has all the characteristics of a healthy
  food. Foods that are listed on two different categories and each category have a list of
several foods that contain all the criteria of the healthiest foods. Find out if your favorite is

 Organically grown wholesome foods. These are organic vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, and
grains. These wholesome foods are said to be the best and the healthiest foods on earth. Aside
from the fact that they keep your body healthy and clean, these foods can also lower the risk of
                and prevent a certain number of health problems and diseases.




Healthiest foods are nutrient dense and rich in fiber thus giving your body maximum nutrition and a
ton of health benefits. They do not contain bad cholesterol and unhealthy fats, therefore giving you
   not only a healthy body but a fantastic figure as well. Wholesome foods are the crackerjack of
     reducing cholesterol that leads to heart problems and weight gain. Out of the hundreds of
vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, and grains out there, here is the short list of the healthiest foods
                                          on this category.

  Vegetables: Cruciferous vegetables, dark green
 leafy vegetables, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms,
squash, allium foods, sweet potatoes, horseradish,
             asparagus, and eggplant.
                                                 Fruits: Apples, berries, grapes, bananas, papaya,
                                                 pineapple, prunes, raisins, watermelon, apricots,
                                                            citrus fruits, and kiwi fruit.
   Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, peanuts, cashews,
   walnuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and
                  pumpkin seeds.               Grains: Whole wheat, brown rice, oats, barley, rye,
                                                                    and corn.

   Fresh dairy products. The
    healthiest foods on this
 category must be low-fat, and
these are low-fat cheese, milk,
and yogurt. Dairy products are
pregnant with protein, calcium,
   phosphorus, magnesium,
potassium and vitamins A, D, B-
          2 and B-12.

 recommended to consume on a
daily basis. Consuming those that
were on the above mentioned list
of the healthiest foods, will enable
 you to witness a change in your
  body and how you live your life
