This document summarizes a research study that assessed the effect of paupers' suit expenses undertaken by courts as corporate social responsibility on the performance of magistrate courts in Kitui County, Kenya. The study found that paupers' suit expenses had a significant positive relationship with court performance, explaining 26.4% of the variation in performance. The researcher concluded that paupers' suit expenses undertaken by courts positively influence court performance and that courts should continue using this approach to corporate social responsibility to improve their performance.
