In 1886 ,in the in New York harbour, the workers built the Statue of Liberty. The next great American symbol was to be unveiled a bit further. Many people who changed history, made breakthroughsthanks to theircuriosity. It was the same withJohn Premberton- a pharmacist from Atlanta. One afternoon, he created a fragrant syrup colored with caramel.
Hethen took it to a nearby chemists’shop Jacob's Pharmacy. Here, itwas mixed with soda water and distributed to customers who unanimously agreed that the new drink is something special. Pharmacy began to sell it for 5 cent a glass.Pemberton’s accountant , Frank Robinson, created name Coca-Cola ©, and caligrapheditsmark with a distinctive style of writing - the same that is famousuntil today. In the first year, Pemberton sold only 9 glasses of Coca-Cola beverages per day.

Asa G. Candler – thenewchairman Candler was a born salesman. He changed the invention which Coca-Cola was, intoa profitablebusiness. Thirsty people needed refreshment, and he presented them in a novel way witha completely new drink.
In 1894, a businessman from Mississippi, Joseph Bierdman created the first bottles for Coca-Cola. He sent 12 of them for Candler, who did not respond enthusiastically. He did not realize that the future of Coca-Cola was associated with bottled drinks.
He was not aware ofthis also five years later, when Benjamin F. Thomas and Joseph B. Whiteehead, secured the rights for bottling Coca-Cola and its total sales for only one dollar.
Protection of Coca-Cola brand : While imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, the company did not like that other manufacturers use its success. It was necessary to adequately protect both the brand and the drink itself. Advertising focused on the authenticity of the product by raising awareness of customers' demand only genuine Coca-Cola "and" do not accept substitutes. United States coming close in the new century. The company grew rapidly, expanding operations to Canada, Panama, Cuba, Puerto Rico, France and other countries.
To help identify the authentic drink the company decided to create a distinctive bottle shape. They organized a contest whose winner was a Root Glass Company. In 1916they started the production of bottles, chosen for theattractive, original design and the fact that its shape could be recognized even in the dark.
Probably nobody had a biggerimpact on the development of Coca-Cola than Robert Woodruff. In 1923hebecame its president. He spent over 60 years, introducing the drink to world markets. He saw opportunities for the companyeverywhere. He decided to expand its operations outside the U.S.A. Thanks to him, Coca-Cola was present at the Olympic Gamesin 1928. Woodruff also introduced a six-pack and many similar innovations. Great development through heritage Woodruff :
Coca-Cola introduced an innovative six-pack.This convenient package was a revolution in the consumption of beverages, allowing customers to move products from place to place.
World War II: Coca-Cola helps soldiers In 1941, the United States joined World War II. Coca-Cola decided to support the troops. Woodruff declared that soldierscould buy Coca-Cola for 5 cent regardless of wheretheywere and regardless of thecost for the company. During the war, many people enjoyed the first taste of the drink and when thestruggeleended, thiscreated business opportunities for The company abroad. Coca-Cola became the drink that "satisfy the thirstand isalwaysathand" Fromthemid-40s until 1960, Coca-Cola almost doubled the number of countries where itbottled itsdrinks. In 1925, Coca-Cola released a pendant in the shape of a swastika, on which was engraved "Coca Cola in bottles for 5 cents. "
New Beverage Company 1960- 1989 After 70 years of successthe brand, the company decided to expand with new flavors: Fanta © (beverage actually created in 1940 and introduced in the 50s), Sprite © (introduced in 1961) TAB © (1963) and Fresca © (1966r). In 1960, Coca-Cola has acquired The Minute Maid Company, adding juicesto its portfolilo. Coca-Cola advertisment from 1971, in which young people from around the world, gathered on a hillside in Italy singing "I want to buy the world Coca-Cola. "

People who took part in the testsweredelighted by the new drink, called "New Cola. " However, customers turned out to be very attached to the previous taste and asked for the restoration of the old formula. Coca-Cola in the universe. In 1985, Coca-Cola becomes the first soft drink in space.
