Seorang Pahlawan”

Portrays conflict between two friends who
was once like brothers.
A tragic drama
It is a short play (20 pages)
It has two climax
3. • The audience is introduce to the setting which
is Malacca during its prime time
• The character Sultan which is a powerful man
who’s wishes became command
• Bendahara Seri Maharaja who is a wise and
intelligent man
• The five young warriors of Malacca ; Hang
Jebat, Hang Tuah, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir
and Hang Lekiu were also introduced.
4. Hang Jebat is making merry with the
king’s concubine
The character Dang Wangi is introduced
The conflict between Hang Jebat and
Sultan of Malacca transpires
5. Sultan of Malacca leaves the palace
People gather outside of the palace and
shout out that Jebat is a traitor
Hang Kasturi shows up upon the order of
the King and was prepared to fight Hang
Jebat
6. Hang Jebat agrees to fight Hang Kasturi
and won.
7. Hang Jebat runs amok among the
crowd and then he jumps up and into
the castle.
8. Dang Wangi is talking to the first maid
about the massacre outside the palace
because of Jebat and his kris.
Jebat had take over the palace and
speaks of how death cannot take his life
as long as the Taming Sari kris is in his
hand.
9. Jebat is resting on the King’s bed when
he heard Tuah’s voice who came to
challenge him on a duel.
He was taken aback by the voice as he
thought that Tuah had been executed.
When Jebat tries to justify his actions,
Tuah refuse to hear Jebat’s reason.
Jebat accept the challenge and they
fight.
10. Tuah jumps up into the palace.
A fierce duel occurs between the two of
them. But after sometime they stopped.
Jebat was saying how he never
regretted his actions
Tuah snatch the Taming Sari kris from
Jebat.
Enraged, Jebat thrust his kris forward and
they continue fighting.
The stage is pitch black.
11. The kris finally pierced Jebat’s chest.
Jebat’s view is fading.
Hang Tuah tries to avoid the look from
Jebat’s eyes.
Jebat grab the King’s ceremonial scarf
and wrap it around his wounds.
He hears cheering for his fall but his
vengeance is still on fire.
12. He shouts to the crowd that it is for justice
that he gave his life.
He run amok among the crowd.
Blood of the people of Malacca flows
swiftly in Jebat’s welcoming echoes of
death.

14. Brave
- he turned against the Sultan because he believed that his friend, Hang Tuah was
unjustly punished by the Sultan. He bravely rebelled the Sultan because he wanted
to avenge his friend’s death.
- When Hang Kasturi came to his house to kill him, he did not run away or defend
himself.
Loyal
- He is a very loyal friend. He boldly rebel towards the Sultan whom he served
because he wanted to avenge Tuah’s death. He didn’t know that Tuah still alive.
- He is well aware of the fact that Sultan will do anything to kill him, but he still
with his plan. He did this because of his loyalty towards the friendship.
Romantic
- He had a romantic affairs with Dang Wangi. He said only the nice word to Dang
Wangi. He even requested Dang Wangi to sing for him.
- He honestly told Dang Wangi that he is a rebel accursed. This means that he
sincerely loves Dang Wangi.
15. Unfaithful (in friendship)
-even though Hang Jebat risked his own life and rebelled against the Sultan just to
avenged him, he still obeyed the Sultan order to kill Hang Jebat.
Very loyal (to the Sultan)
-he put aside his friendship with Jebat because of the Sultan’s order. He still wanted to
kill Jebat because of his loyalty toward the Sultan.
Ungrateful
- Jebat’s sacrifices to avenge his death meant nothing to him. He did not appreciate the
value of their friendship.
16. Brave
- Although all the warriors sent by the Sultan to challenge Jebat were all dead, Hang
Kasturi still in his way to fight with Hang Jebat.
Strong
- Hang Kasturi is a strong warrior. Even Hang Jebat had quite a difficult time
fighting with him.
Unfaithful
-same reason with Hang Tuah. Hang Kasturi sell out their friendship just because he
want to obey the Sultan’s order.
17. Soft spoken
- She spoke softly and politely with Hang Jebat.
Obedient
-she obeyed and followed everything Jebat had asked her. She sang whole-heartedly
for Jebat until Jebat fall asleep. She even danced with Jebat because that is what
Jebat had asked for.
Romantic
-she has a romantic affairs with Hang Jebat. Even though Jebat has told him that he is
a rebel accursed, Dang Wangi still wants to be by his side.
