  Francisco, California on 24 February
  1955
 His mother was an American while
  his father was from Syria.
 He spent his childhood in the South
Bay area. This region came to be

            ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 5
 Steve Job’s biological mother was
not able to satisfied the needs of
Steve Jobs so he was adopted by

 south bay area

            ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 6
ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 7
 Steve was a student of the Cupertino
Junior High School and then Homestead
  High School in Cupertino, California.
 When Steve Jobs reached college age he
decided that he would go to Reed
  college in Oregan.
 The Reed college was an expensive liberal
  art college.
 The college was way too pricey for his
modest parents but they had to keep their
  promise to Steve biological mother
              ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 8
 Hence Steve modest parents paid for his
  tuitions
 Steve Jobs only stayed at Reed college for
only one semester an then he dropped out
 After a drop out he spent a lot of time in
learning about the eastern culture and
  religion
 He their after adopted strange diets, fasting
or eating only fruits. It was his hippie period
 He even travelled to India to seek
enlightenment at the age of 19 years

                ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 9
 In1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak
and Ronald Wayne, with later funding
 from a then-semi-retired Intel product-
 marketing manager and engineer A.C.
 "Mike" Markkula founded Apple

 Steve Jobs managed to interest
Wozniak in assembling a computer and
selling it. As Apple continued to
expand, the company began looking for
 an experienced executive to help
 manage its expansion.

             ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 10
 Steve Jobs invented the Macintosh computer
it was very successful in filed of private
  computing
 But soon he was fired from his own company
blaming that he was an erratic and
  temperamental manager.
 For making Macintosh computer Jobs
appointed talented engineer but due to some
reasons the Macintosh computer was not able
to satisfied the needs of people, hence Steve
was fired from the Apple company

               ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 11
ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 12
 Jobs then established another new
company which was named as NEXT
  COMPUTERS
 The first computer that Jobs created under
the banner of NEXT computer was named
  as NEXT CUBE
 The NEXT CUBE computer was very
costly an it was missing some useful
software, hence it did not got a high sale in
  the market
 The company was bleeding for money

               ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 13
 One by one its co-founders left the
company. So the company decided to
give up the hardware felid and focus
only on the development of new
  software
 In addition, his investment in Pixar also
  seemed to lead nowhere.
 Jobs shut down Pixar’s hardware
operations in 1990, decided to focus on
  developing an advanced 3D language
  called RenderMan.
              ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 14
ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 15
 Fortunately, as John Lasseter came back to
Disney with an improved script for the feature
film, called Toy Story, the project got back on
  track
 He decided Pixar would go public the week
after the release of Toy Story, cashing in on
the media hype surrounding the first
  computer-generated animation movie of all
  time.
 It worked wonders, Toy Story’s box-office
success was only surpassed by the Pixar
stock’s success on Wall Street. Steve
Jobs, who owned 80% of the company, saw
his net worth rise to over $1.5 billion — five
times the money he had ever made at Apple
  in the 1980s!
                ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 16

software to replace the old and bloated Mac
OS. He eventually chose Steve’s NeXTSTEP.
 Apple paid $400 million to acquire NeXT, and
Steve was back to the company that had
thrown him out a decade earlier. His official
title was that of “informal adviser to the CEO.”

                ADNAN KHAN FYBMS 10/7/2012 17
 But when Amelio announced Apple’s losses of
$700 million for the first quarter of 1997, the
board decided it was time to get rid of this
  terrible manager.
 Steve Jobs organized a board coup and was
named interim CEO of Apple in July 1997.
 Steve Jobs cutted down the number of a
projects which where going on to a dozen
 He also made an important announcement
that apple would learn from its arch rival the
