This was a project that I needed to complete for my Anthropology class.

2. Thanksgiving is a very nice and peaceful time of the
year when a family can come together and spend
quality time with each other.
Everyone enjoys the
food that is made. The
most ideal food for
thanksgiving is turkey
and ham. And although it
is very delicious, my
family ate something
else. We ate tamales and
posole.

3. First, comes preparation of the food. In
order to make the tamales, these
materials are needed.
There is, the chicken
to put inside the
tamales.
The chile is to put it
in the posole as
well as the tamales
when they are
ready to eat.
This is the mole that
is made as well for
the tamales.

4. These are the wrappers that
is put over the tamales
when they are ready to
cook.
This is the maiz that is
used for the tamale.

5. This is my mom and cousin making the
tamales to be ready for the dinner.

6. This is how the tamale is made.
First the maiz is placed. Then the mole and
chicken is placed on
top of it.
The tamale is wrapped
and is ready to cook.

7. When all the food is made and everything
is done, the table is set up.
All the plates are
being prepared
on the table so
people can enjoy
their dinner.

8. At last, everyone arrives and they all
gather around the table.
My Thanksgiving is filled with
lots of culture and tradition.
Everyone holds hands as we
pray before we eat. We pray
to god and give thanks to
him for all that he has given
us. My includes a lot of
religion in most of
holidays, and this is one of
them. After the prayer, we all
take a turn giving thanks to
anything we would like. That
is my Thanksgiving.
