2. The next few slides include some audience feedback on the
three different products I have created.
My Music Video.
My Digi Pack.
My Magazine Advert.
A majority of my feedback has been done through the use of
charts and asking directly for feedback from my target
audience after showing them all three products and taking in
their opinions.
3. Do you think the transition
between the black and white
narrative and the coloured band
performance works?
Yes
No
Asked to 20 members of my target
audience.
4. I received some good feedback about the transition between
the black and white narrative and coloured band performance
of my music video. People who said they liked it said it gave a
clear understanding of what was the narrative and what was
performance. They said the black and white gave a very cold
look to the narrative which helped represent the character
being chased in his struggle to keep running. They also said
that because of the low winter sun the black and white helps
balance and distribute the colour in a more professional way.
However, a small minority of my audience though that the
colour would have been better in both elements of my video as
it would of helped draw that parallel between the two closer.
5. Do you agree that I was right to
leave a blank background on my
Magazine Advert so that it links into
the band performance element of
my Music Video?
Yes
No
Asked to 20 members of my target
audience.
6. The majority of my target audience liked the fact that I left an
open white background to my Magazine Advert, they said they
liked the idea of less being more and that the blank space let
them think a lot more about why it might have been left blank.
They also said they liked the idea because it was original and
most bands and their designers would not think of creating
something as simple as that. If they came across this in a
magazine, the white really takes up the page and would draw a
reader in.
However, a small minority again said they didn’t like the idea of
the white space as they thought it was too simple and wouldn’t
do enough to attract a member of my target audience into it.
7. Does the continuity of the sign-post
with a trail into the distance work in
my Digi Pack and Magazine advert?
Yes
No
Asked to 20 members of my target
audience.
8. The whole idea of my Digi Pack and Magazine Advert was to
give the impression of being on a journey. After showing this to
my target audience a large majority of them liked the idea of
the signpost and trail. They like the close up signpost on the
inside of my Digi pack and the fact that on the back cover you
can see the signpost in the distance as if you’ve moved away
from it. It links well with my magazine advert which my target
audience liked as the signpost catches the eye and the blank
space in the background also gives the impression of a long
journey. My target audience liked the originality of the blank
background. They said that it was a risky thing to do leaving
the background blank but the risk has paid off and it looks
good.
